Republican ConferenceTells Young Women to Give Up Their Dreams & Their Birth Control
This past weekend marked the conservative organization Turning Point USA’s annual Young Women’s Leadership Summit. Over the course of three days, as Media Matters’ Madeline Peltz reported, a stacked roster of some of the worst people on the internet offered some variation of the same speech imploring young attendees to give up their career aspirations and their birth control. The Daily Wire’s Candace Owens literally wrapped up the convention by telling attendees, “Every ill that we are fighting right now in society has been brought forth by women.”
Ironically, nearly all the speakers at the conference—from Owens and TPUSA’s podcast lead Alex Clark to Fox host Laura Ingraham and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.)—were invited because of their high-power, high-earning careers and massive platforms. But they spent the duration of their speeches preaching that if young women focus on professional dreams rather than marriage and childrearing, then (as Clark put it) they’re contributing to our “degenerate rotten culture.”

To be fair, all those people focused on professional dreams and have demonstrably contributed to our degenerate rotten culture.
I know. The worry is they–or at least the party they support–will be in power and will harm all young women in the country by making that declaration a reality.
Ah, but, you see, they had a special “God-given” call to those high powered careers. Remember, it’s all about everyone Knowing Your Place and staying there unless you gain favor from those who do have “merit” to be on top (i.e. Rich White Anglo “Christian” (cis)Men)

Well, in the sense that the men causing all the problems were given birth to by women… okay.
The solution seems to be to make sure this disruptive element cannot harm society any more than it already has. Let’s return to a completely matriarchal social structure and values! The sooner the better!
Whenever I see articles that include lines like ‘at a three day conference’ or ‘during a weekend class’ it reminds me that the republicans of the next generations don’t just ‘end up’ in politics, they’re actively training for it their entire lives.
The Turning Point USA’s annual Young Women’s Leadership Summit is directed 15-26 year old girls. When you send your 15 year old daughter to a conference like that, with speakers like those and couple that with being raised in, what I can safely assume is, a very very conservative household, of course they’re going to grow up to think their only duty is to be barefoot and pregnant. And if that’s the way they feel life should be, that’s entirely fine and they’re welcome to create that life for themselves. However, we know many of these young women will grow up to become politicians spewing this same toxic garbage.
Well, unless they actually do too good of a job of it and reverse feminism far enough that they find themselves unable to hold office.
While I’m sure there’s a Dem version of these types of classes/courses/conferences, I’m guessing it’s not quite so aggressive. If something similar existed that could be considered even a little, tiny bit ‘too’ left, Fox and the rest of the right, would be all over it.
That one reason that I do not think there is a huge wave of teaching whatever they mean by “Critical Race Theory” in public schools, because there are hundreds of thousands of teachers, and millions of phones in our schools, so if that sort of stuff (whatever it is) were so widespread, there would have been lots and lots of teachers being recorded saying it and it would have been posted all over right wing news and the alt-right-o-sphere by now.
I don’t think that there are conferences specifically to teach young women to be liberal. But there are plenty of conferences to teach young women to be powerful, influential members of society, in any of a wide variety of fields of their choosing. And the concept that women can be those things is a liberal concept.

I’ve heard there are weekly meetings in a lot of places where they promote the idea that we should be kind to each other, and to help poor people. SOCIALIST INDOCTRINATION.
