‘I’ll have you know that running the Fry-o-later is considered to be the most important job one can have at McDonalds!’
‘They tell me that every day.’
Your friend, Josh
OK, ok, now, whoa — yeah it’s kind of satisfying to have a big chorus of “oh, you dumb kid, can’t wait to see you meet the Clenched Fist of Reality”, but let’s not incidentally crap on the many responsible, nice young hard workers who daily strive to produce our meal deals.
For those who are familiar with the comic strip “Cul de Sac”, I think this young man is the living embodiment of Ernesto Lacuna and thus, probably imaginary.
He reminds me of a guy who was a year below me in highschool. He and his crazy mom pretended to be rich. I suppose by community standards, they were above average. He did often wear suits to school, and he carried a briefcase.
His mom would swan into the office and demand special treatment for him. They often got their way. I think it’s because if was easier than arguing with the crazy.
I hadn’t heard a thing about him in decades until several years back he made the news. He’d married a woman younger than him and prettier than one would expect. She liked expensive things including horses. Very expensive horses. He liked expensive things too, and they had a huge mansion. He opened some sort of tech business with lots of servers. I don’t recall the details or what exactly the business did, but he had lots of investors and customers. It seems that all the “servers” were dummy boxes that had nothing but blinking lights in them. He owed people hundreds of thousands of dollars, and was criminally charged with something. Anyway, he holed up in his mansion with a gun that his lovely mother bought him a couple days before and shot himself in the head.
No one was surprised that he was a con, though the pure size and ballsyness of the con shocked us. We were also shocked by his death by suicide. I don’t remember details, but I think his wife went to prison for a bit; his mother was charged and convicted, but I think she was allowed out because of her advanced age. I think they should have let her rot. She was a horrible person; she made him what he was, and she helped him kill himself.
Don’t get me wrong, I never liked the guy, and he put himself in the situation, but he was never, ever taught better.
Maybe don’t shop at Publix, they are incredibly overpriced and I suspect they jack up the prices because they need to send Trump lots of money to fund insurrections.
WV congressional candidate posts photo of Democrats hanging from nooses on an Xmas tree.
To be fair, he seems to have realized this was a stupid idea and has taken it down and apologized. Of course, the capacity for shame renders him a filthy RINO, so his career is probably over.
I wouldn’t cut him too much slack. I think he thought it would slide. When it didn’t he fell back to what a good Christian, family man he is. After all, he spent time in jail for the insurrection, but he was only in there for like 10 min.
