Investigative accountants in South Carolina are struggling to explain the existence of an account belonging to the government containing $1.8 billion in cash, with no clear explanation as to where the funds came from or what they were supposed to be allocated for. What do you think?

What even drove this idiot to this conclusion? Just the fact that there were buses at the airport? Surely that is and always has been an incredibly common situation. Was there anything else at all about this situation that even vaguely hinted at illegal immigration?

What next, “I saw a green traffic light this morning. Clearly the Woke Liberal Socialist Antifa Fascist Agenda is telling illegal immigrants that they’re allowed into our communities!”?

This weeks episode of “This American Life” about the dysfunction of the Michigan Republican party is worth a listen if you have time., or if you prefer reading there is also a transcript.

Basically the crazies decide to elect one of their own as chairman despite having no experience or business contacts for fund raising. When the party eventually finds itself broke, one faction develops that calls for her ouster on the (probably unfounded) grounds that she embezzled the money. Both those in favor and against her ouster blame the other side of being part of a Democrat conspiracy to destroy the party from within, and there is much face eating and schadenfreude to be had by all.

IMHO here is the money quote:

A quick check of the Gonzaga roster reveals names like Jun Seok Yeo and Joaquim ArauzMoore, so maybe some of the non-whites also looked suspiciously non-American.

But still …
