That response team is silent but deadly.
The Oklahoma state athletic commission is mad at All Elite Wrestling for letting a transgender woman wrestle a cisgender woman at a TV taping.
Because, you know, people assigned male at birth have an inherent genetic advantage in (checks notes) theatrical stage combat.
That’s quite humorous, though. ISTR such theatrical wrestling has had scripted events with men and women pretending to wrestle each other.
This isn’t a stupid REpublican Idea, but I’m not sure where else to put it:
It’s noteworthy that , to a dismissed juror, Trump isn’t as orange as advertised.
So now I have a picture in my head of the Freedom Caucus walking around with their thumbs on their foreheads.
Devin Nunes, former Republican congresscritter and current Trump Media CEO blames the plummeting stock price on Joe Biden conspiring with Wall Street to make his life hell.
Don’t these idiots have the capability to do anything whatsoever without the cognitive dissonace? What he’s accusing Biden of is pretty much impossible for somone who has the mental facilities they say he has.
Of course it has. It’s been a thing for decades. Andy Kaufman wrestled women. Chyna beat Jeff Jarrett for the Intercontinental title in 1999. In Japan, Minoru Suzuki wrestles J-pop idols who weigh less than half what he does. It’s all predetermined. You can book the Big Show lose to Taylor Swift if that’s what your story calls for and the state is just showing its bigotry here. I wonder if they’d object to the showing of a Marvel movie where Scarlet Johansen beats up Tom Holland?
Oh, I know that. I’m just pointing out how hilarious it is for these pubbie idiots to have the vapors right now when, as you say, it’s been decades that men and women have fake wrestled in these performances.
Hell, the person writing the article showed bigotry by calling the match an “intergender” match. It’s not an intergender match. Trans women ARE WOMEN.
And yet, I can’t help but wonder what OSAC’s response would be if Tony Khan were to book Nyla Rose against a male wrestler and promote it as an “intergender match”. He’s legitimately rich enough that the state can’t really hurt him with any fines that they might levy, so he may as well test their limits.
Here in Washington, the Republicans have been in a permanent minority status for quite some time - they haven’t held the governorship since the Reagan years, nor a Senate seat for about as long, and it’s been nearly a decade since they held a majority in either house of the legislature. For awhile, the only Republican in statewide office was our Secretary of State - that is, until she resigned to join the Biden administration, leaving absolutely no Republicans in statewide office.
You might think the state QOP would respond to this by moving towards the middle. Instead, they’ve increasingly embraced the extreme and fully embrace Trumpism despite its massive unpopularity among most of the state’s population.
To that point, they held their state convention this weekend, and they had to choose between two candidates to endorse for this year’s gubernatorial race.
They could’ve chosen Dave Reichert, the former King County sheriff widely credited with catching the Green River killer, and who has since been a veteran Congressman.
Or they could’ve chosen Semi Bird, a man once convicted of bank larceny, whose political experience consists of being kicked off of the Richland school board for illegally ordering schools to defy the statewide mask mandate during the pandemic.
They chose the latter by 72%.

Well, what do you know? The damned republicans were right; there has been election fraud. Of course, it’s not the Democrats, but one of the republicans’ own.
Another MAGA lawmaker faces accusations of election fraud
“To protect my family today, I’ll withdraw as a candidate.” That’s the main takeaway from a rather long statement released on Thursday by Arizona state Rep. Austin Smith, who’s no longer running for re-election in his district after being accused of forging signatures to get on the ballot this fall.
As AZ Central reports:
The signatures on his petitions have also been sent to the state attorney general for review.
Smith’s lengthy statement (which you can read below) says this is “silly” and part of a plot by Democrats who are “unhappy with my politics.” He says he’s choosing not to run to avoid a legal fight that could prove costly for him and his wife, and he says he’ll make changes in future campaigns to avoid similar legal challenges so “no one can make up any stories.” But he doesn’t actually deny any of the specific claims made in the lawsuit.
Lindsay Graham credits DJT for the passage of the Ukranian aid package.
“President Trump has created a loan component to this package that gives us leverage down the road.”
I have no fucking idea what he’s talking about. Maybe someone can explain.
What he means is “Trump is gonna give those pictures of my rent boys to the New York Post if I don’t find a way to spin this so it looks like it was his idea all along”.
It is considerate that you state this. Thank you!
Now, for more Stupid Republicans…
The former guy did not tell the House Republicans to defeat the bill. Therefore, the bill passed because of him.
Now you may be thinking, “I didn’t tell the House Republicans to defeat the bill, either.” But you’re not the former guy, now, are you.
I get the impression that they are more “pocket money” boys than rent boys. Significantly younger.
Trump’s criminal behavior and whining baby tantrums in social media have finally, finally gone too far, and convinced a large number of Republicans to cooperate with the Democrats to finally get shit done. So thanks to Trump for being such an absolute dick-wad, there is now work getting done in Congress.
