But there’s the additional problem of all the other idiots pushing the same idea. Just because she’s the most prominent of the idiots doesn’t mean she’s alone in her idiocy.
It strikes me, it would be an interesting experiment. Take someone like her (or, even, her), dressed in neutral garb (of indeterminate ethnic origin), dropped in a town like Abbottabad, with no ID, a few hundred dollars equivalent in the local currency, and see how she makes out. Tell her it is a test and that she will be brought back in after a few weeks. And, you know, there is no way we wold lose track of her, none at all.
I’m surprised there hasn’t been more Republican pearl clutching about Little Free Libraries. Wonder what she would think of the “cozy mysteries” my mom likes dropping off at places like this.
She’s replacing books she doesn’t like with bibles.
“Recently I have been picking up free Bibles at flea markets and thrift stores. Sometimes I find good devotion books or kids’ Bible stories at a good price to add. Or just great books, and a gospel tract is a nice idea too.”
She also wrote: “From what I have seen a lot of these books and other things don’t align with Christian values. Today, I saw a bunch of Pride stuff in one. There’s a group of leftists, especially in Conway, who are very active in keeping little libraries well stocked.”
I have a few customers that leave those hidden around the store. One in particular will hand them to anyone that so much as says hi to her. Within a sentence or two, she’s already at ‘can I tell you about my lord and savior jesus christ’, and then she’ll go on and on and on, often until an employee will run interference so the customer can break away and keep shopping.
She (and a few others) will always hand them to the cashier and my cashiers, almost universally, can’t bring themselves to toss them in the garbage. Luckily, I have no such hangups about disposing of religious propaganda.
