There is bipartisan consensus that the Secret Service fucked up royally. The difference is that Democrats are calling for the director’s resignation for that reason. The Republicans are calling for her resignation because she is a woman. (OK, they would have called for a man to resign but her being a woman is making this extra special for them.)
