NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 3)

And why did the family agree to this?

And it’s uhhh. In Canada. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Seriously “Great, now we’re just props. Thanks Mom and Dad”

Why the fuck is he posing with the wife and children of a longtime friend, and why isn’t the friend in the picture?

It’s a crafted image to suggest they are his family, regardless of the caption. It’s in an article that seems to be discussing wives and families being seen more this campaign. And the Republicans are pushing this meme about families and how Democrats are childless. But he doesn’t have his own children to pose with? Has to borrow someone else’s children to participate in an accusation campaign that Democrats don’t have children.

In the little remembered The Selling of Vince D’Angelo, Danny DeVito

…plays corrupt Congressman Vince D’Angelo who is making a sleazy run to become Senator of New Jersey. In the process he spreads vicious rumors about his running mates and uses incendiary campaign commercials to get himself elected. His campaign is derailed when he is caught-on-tape giving a bribe to a G-man posing as a mobster. His response to the “Mobscam” debacle is to claim he was “conducting his own investigation” and then fakes an 11th hour assassination on himself to engender voter sympathy.

He was married with children but they were so unappealing his campaign staff rented a family for a photo shoot.

A Detroit man is looking at 2 years in prison after attacking a mail carrier with a knife because she delivered a Kamala Harris flyer in his mail.

Sounds like that’s where that Robinson fella got the idea from.

That dude looks like Al Bundy from “Married With Children”.

So I didn’t see this in the story, but I bet he accuses the letter carrier of putting that flier in his mailbox because she’s a liberal trying to influence him, rather than because it’s a piece of spam mail she was delivering just like every other piece of mail.

So I looked at some other search results. His Youtube page has a video without dialogue showing him taking to numerous people in various settings. There’s a small coffeeshop owner, a dude in his yard, a couple of of older men, another family. That one has him talking in the yard, then sitting around the table with the whole family, then walking along the street with the two parents. It is similar to the segment with the last group, except the friend (i.e. man) is not present. Funny, watching him walk with the couple, he is in the middle, and he is definitely closer to the woman than the man, who is off to the side. Weird.

The last segment is with the picture family, and as part of the whole, it matches how he’s interacting with the other people, except for the photo at the end that puts him right in the middle in what is a typical photo arrangement for a candidate with their own family, something not done for the other people shown.

So yes, on the whole one can argue it just shows him taking with various voters, but that final pose comes off definitely like he’s posing with his own family, not some random supporters. And again, where is his supposed friend, the woman’s husband and actual father of the kids?

This would be less of a story if JD Vance wasn’t going around declaring childless people have less of a stake in the country. So he’s childless - that should apply to him, too, shouldn’t it?

Also, with women’s rights and abortion a big political issue, the Republicans are trying to soft sell their personal image as a nice guy who women can support, even though he cheered Roe being overturned.

It’s intentionally deceptive and a testament to the values of the Republicans - lie lie lie.

It’s been a week or two since I’ve gotten one, but for a while I was getting Trump mailers in my mailbox every two or three days. I never thought of attacking my postal carrier for delivering such offensive material, though.

Every mailer delivered shrinks the Trump-campaign war chest.

And I’d be comfortable guessing that 90% of the target audience for that lying Virginia GOP candidate’s deliberately-misleading ‘media strategy’ are falling for it. ‘Oh look, he’s a good family man.’

It’s as though Republicans recruit by openly saying ‘do you revel in lying, cheating, stealing, and fooling stupid voters? Become a Republican!!!’ If they did, the results would be identical to what we see here and now.

So according to your linked article: “Russell Frank Valleau of Farmington Hills is facing charges of one felony count of ethnic intimidation and one misdemeanor count of assault and battery that could lead to "up to two years in prison and/or a fine of up to $5,000.”" (Bolding mine)

I’ll be interesting to see the outcome for this guy.

Isn’t attacking a post office worker a Federal offense? Or would that only work if he’d hurt her?

Well, now I don’t feel quite so bad about getting them. Even though on the way back to the house I tear them up and toss them into the outside recycling bin so they don’t pollute my house.

Postal delivery people have always been at risk of animal attacks, they just don’t usually use knives.

Congresswoman who voted for a government shutdown THREE DAYS AGO pledges federal aid for her constituents.

So bloody typical I’d be surprised if she had voted for instead of against.

That’s reasonable. Even if one doesn’t believe in the supernatural, Trump is so loathsome that it’s easy to picture the presence of any material depicting him emitting bad vibes (at the very least).

And here again we see Shamelessness coming to the rescue of a particularly repellant practitioner of that GOP art.

While, at the moment, this isn’t technically political, I think it’s safe to assume it is.

Man spends $4000 to buy one of Taylor Swift’s signed guitars at an auction, then immediately smashes it with a hammer. Which, I suppose, has the unintended benefit of increasing the wealth of anyone else that has one of her signed guitars.

I can’t imagine having a spare $4000 and using it to do that.

That’s 4 grand that didn’t go into Trump’s campaign coffers.

I wonder where Ms. Swift is ever going to find another one of those.

Maybe it was Banksy (Not Banksy being pro-America-hating fuckstick, just Banksy being Banksy).

ETA: Somebody contact the Guinness people. That might be a record for the use of “Banksy” in a single post!
