NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 3)

I doubt that there’s enough Mount Rushmore (its stone) left to be able to carve that view of Donald accurately.

Just carve out the asshole itself.

But he’s such a huge one that the carving might be capable of its own gravitational pull.

“Scientists are scrambling to find a solution for the cosmological phenomenon that was recently discovered, called an ‘Orange Hole’. They have called it a potential extinction-level event.”

(story continues on inside page)

ND state legislator Nico Rios (whose haircut is a stupid idea in and of itself) posts to Twitter calling for the CIA to depose Mexico’s president on the grounds of her being a Jew.

It doesn’t have to be life-sized.

Please. As an Albertan, who knows and is related to many Albertans, I am confident in saying that we take offense to “the Texas of Canada” that many (including Canadians) regard us as.

We like our provincial single-payer healthcare, our abortion on demand, our gay marriages and Pride celebrations, and our non-white residents and citizens. Organized religion is on the wane, and never plays a role in shaping public policy, just like in the rest of Canada. Although we have Pentacostalists, Evangelicals, and Mormons, they are a minority and do not affect public policy at all. A few Albertans drive coal-rolling pickup trucks, but most drive much more fuel-efficient cars and light SUVs. And only a few crazies and wackos want to have concealed-or open-carry handguns. We don’t like Trudeau, true, but there are a few other Liberals we feel would make a much more effective and respected government leader whom we could support. And when it comes to Donald Trump, the vast majority of us—at least all my friends and relatives—think he’s an idiot.

Does that sound like Texas?

Can we stop with the “Alberta is the Texas of Canada” nonsense? When matched against the reality that is today’s Alberta, and today’s Texas, such a statement is … well, nonsense.

What’s support for Mark Carney like?

Also from that article: “ Rios writes many stupid things on social media. He recently argued that an economy where women with children work outside the home is an “rigged system” and that difficulties with childcare availability could be fixed by ending the federal reserve.

I don’t know. Carney is at least an economist, which is a plus. Chrystia Freeland is a tough negotiator, which is what we may need. Either one might be what we need when facing Trump.

Trudeau is nothing special, a drama teacher, a failed boxer, untrained in the law and economics as his father was. He’s way out of his depth, and long beyond his best-before date. His “let’s all hold hands and sing ‘Kum Ba Ya’” schtick didn’t work during the truckers’ protest, and thankfully, he realizes it ain’t gonna work now. He’s quit. Thank God.

Nice hair, though.

Put in a Liberal leader, from any province, who actually knows the job, knows Canadians’ wants and wishes, who can negotiate with the CFSG, and watch Alberta’s support for the Liberals grow. Put in another Liberal leader to whom speaking French is the most important qualification (y’know, that Laurentian Ontario-Quebec thing), and watch Canada die and become part of the US.

There’s a lot more to Canada than speaking French. I wish more Canadians realized that.

As I’ve said many times on this site, for the pubbies, there really is no such thing as the quiet part.

p.s. Did you happen to notice in that jerk’s Xit how he referred to President Obama? Here that Xit is in all its stupidity and racism.

When some third world leader wouldn’t go along with Clinton/Bush/Obanga the CIA would just start a color revolution and overthrow them.

Wonder if the CIA would help Trump overthrow and kick this Jew out of power in Mexico? Probably not. Can DOGE/Elon do this? LMAO.

Who did the US overthrow during the Clinton years? I can’t remember.

Ho lee crap! What da fuk is that supposed to be?

Morality and decorum, with the White House blowjobs and all. The Republicans couldn’t clutch their pearls hard enough.

But Trump gets a pass for behavior that is way worse and not just for things with women.

Why not mix the antisemitism with some casual racism for a bigotry cocktail.

And that guy looks like he has the same barber as Mark Davis.

Rep. Andy Biggs (QOP-Az.) is sponsoring a bill that would abolish OSHA.

Jesus.

I mean, even at that… There’s no shortage of Canadians who speak French. Surely you can find someone who’s competent and also happens to speak French?

I opened the article to see what possible rationale a Congressman would have for abolishing OSHA.

From the article, Andy Briggs was quoted saying, “OSHA’s existence is yet another example of the federal government creating agencies to address issues that are more appropriately handled by state governments and private employers.”

First off, private employers don’t do anything unless they are either made to or if it threatens their bottom line, such as fines from regulators (like OSHA) or lawsuits.

As for state governments taking up the burden of workplace safety, all this would do is create a race to the bottom as various Republican-controlled states relax their standards under the guise of being “business-friendly.” The result will be some states with robust worker-safety regulations, and others with little or none. And the workers in the latter states will pay for this with their health, safety, and lives.
