Jeez, I thought the halftime show was decent, even though I’m not a fan of the genre. Lamar had dancers wearing the US flag colors doing some cool moves like making ripples in the wind. I had no idea about his feud with Drake and don’t recall hearing anything combustible in the lyrics. The words sounded stream-of-conscious to me with no actual point being made.
It’s like when Beyonce had a scene in her halftime show of dancers dressed in police costumes for about 2 seconds and cops nationwide were pissed (at least the headlines made it look like that). The extreme reactions make the headlines.
I’d say they just want Up With People back, but they’d probably think it’s “woke”.
