I’ve just been suspended from Twitter for a violent tweet. The tweet was in response to someone asking what the CFPB was. My response:
You don’t need to know. MAGA has spoken. Just nod your head and jump off that cliff.
I can avoid suspension if I delete it. And I just might so I can raise a stink over Elon Musk’s thin skin and not knowing what an analogy is … so I can get suspended again.
They duped me – I deleted the tweet and they still suspended me for 12 hours. Oh, I’ll be suspended permanently, I’m sure of it, in about 12 hours and one minute.
Case in point:
I saw that earlier today, and wept for the poor Onion writers who have to compete.
Seriously, Idiocracy is coming true.
Idiocracy was already true. It was exaggeration of the worst parts of our culture back then. It was a satire, not a warning.
And then we decided we just wouldn’t be outdone by some movie.
That’s the part I’m talking about. It’s no longer an exaggeration or satire, or rather it’s becoming less of one.
I’m sorry to hear that. I gave up Twitter some months back, and don’t miss it; I can understand that some non-RW people believe they’re doing good by staying there. But you know you’ll never really be able to beat that system—it truly is rigged against you.
