Well, I’ll put in my vote for Ender_Will. I’ve always found his posts insightful and intelligent. And sometimes very funny, too.
What, you mean apart from me?
I’ll nominate Jennifer McIlwee Myers. How’s this for a first post?
Just today I was reading this thread and I was struck by bo989’s clear and well thought out posts, plus his cool manner in not getting uptight about some posts (not that there was necessarily reason for him to, but I can easily see someone looking to be offended would be, well, offended.) Dunno why I thought he was a newbie at the time; now that I look back I see he joined in Feb, which still makes him a newbie of sorts, though not as new as I had first thought.
That’s a brilliant first post. Heck, it would be a brilliant 1000[sup]th[/sup] post. How’d she do in the next ten?
I’m really enjoying ** DeVena’s** posts. She had me laughing at her matter-of-fact response to the “what would you do when approached in a dark alley” thread and since then when I’ve run across her posts I’ve read them with relish.
She seems like someone I would enjoy spending time with.
Me likes QED and Kid Czarcasm is just plain cute.
You should read them with mustard and onions, they’re even better.
I’m going to nominate Payton’s Servant.
His/her Spider thread was pure poetry, and I was quite impressed.
I nominate DaveBear, for getting so many women to divulge intimate details of their sex lives here.
Sorry, I love talking about quantum physics as much as the next doper, but that doesn’t hold a candle to getting to find out if your favorite posters swallow or not.
You rock Dave!
Another vote for Q.E.D.
Seconding most of the others (I don’t go into GD enough to ahve noticed Priam), but someone who’s impressed me since I started reading his posts is Mtgman. He’s got the eloquence of tomndebb and the command of logic and facts of the same. He also seems to be equally adept and handling both flaming and being flamed, which on this board is rather a must.
Aslan2, for his part, seems to have the aloof wit of a young jarbabyj (albeit with less cocksockets and twatwrenches;)). His ability to combine this with a fresh (yet aged) sense of humor make reading his posts a lot of fun. And anyone who makes a reference to CS Lewis is okay in my book:D
QED, of course. He’s one of those posters that the SDMB just wouldn’t be the same without even though he’s been here for a short time.
“Thanks,” he said bashfully while staring at his feet.
I wrote it up in Microsoft Word first and then did the usual Spell-Check stuff.
I’m just happy that people got to laugh at my expense…wait that 's not what I meant…wait, yes it is…wait I meant I’m just happy that people enjoyed my Black Widow Spider and perhaps got them to laugh and smile as they thought to themselves, “Damn, I’m glad that wasn’t me.”
I want in too…

Another vote for QED. Always so nice, helpful, and insightful.
Q.E.D.
Well, what do you know, someone noticed me… and Woo Hoo! I actually made you laugh!! No kidding!
Dang it, I luv you guys!!
Merla rocks!
I’ll nominate:
**Davebear
Branwen
Tanookie
and Flybynight **
for being huge fun, making me really laugh out loud and for talking about the stuff I like to talk about but don’t get the opportunity to do in real life
