I know, right? When I heard this, I immediately donated $1 to Haley. It feels great to be permanently barred from MAGA!
He doesn’t have enough power to guarantee winning an election - but he can guarantee losing one, if he turns his dogs lose on a GOP incumbent. None of them want to face that.

This is well said. Rich conservative assholes don’t care about his competence, he has promised them even more tax cuts. They are indeed worried that Donald has become too toxic for potentially so many voters.
People who won in the game of toxic capitalism didn’t win by worrying about the plight of their fellow citizens.
That’s why this was such a big deal back when it was revealed that she was getting big donors, and was considered a bad sign for Trump.
What happened in NH clearly was a shock to Trump, the fact that he didn’t just steamroll over her. So much that he started throwing his greasy spray-tanned weight around and threatened that if people don’t stop giving her their money that they won’t be his friends anymore.
(He almost literally said that.)
She’s still raising money, though she did lose a couple of big donors after she failed to win NH.

Trump’s threat:
On the Truth Social app, Trump, who is furious at Haley for refusing to drop out, said anybody making a contribution to Haley would be “permanently barred” from his political orbit.
Like I said, he’s threatening that they won’t be his friends anymore. It’s playground politics at its finest.
According to a Legal Eagle YouTube, she thinks States have the right to secede, and “it’s in the Constitution”. 
Hint- it’s not.
I was about to say “you’d think she’d know better” but of course she does. It’s just more meat for the MAGA monster.
Add to his freak-out over Haley, his freak-out over a jury saying he has to pay E. Jean Carroll $83 million.
Trump is going to go on an anti-female tear “the likes of which” (to quote one of his favorite constructions) we’ve never seen.
And sure, Republican women will tell their hubbys they’ll still vote for Trump.
But if Trump is vicious enough toward females for long enough, some of them won’t follow through.

The worry about Trump getting the GOP nomination is indeed that many of his rabid fans will be in positions to make sure that the election is anything but fair.
But if enough of those people are females whose rabidity in the service of Trump has been eroded by his increasingly open hatred for and contempt for women…
I’m thinking there’s a chance that some of them may be so disenchanted, if he becomes relentless enough in his public loathing for Haley and Carroll, that those GOP operatives may decline to do any of the cute stuff they might otherwise have done (like making sure some Democrats can’t vote).
And it was such a bad idea even Trump didn’t support it.
Interesting. Perhaps Trump suddenly realized it’s fun to rudely bash Haley, and doesn’t want the fun to end yet.
If I’m understanding correctly, in the highly unlikely event that the courts keep Trump off the ballot, the deadline to register has passed and Haley would be the only remaining GOP candidate who could get the nomination?
Unless the RNC has bylaws that allow anyone it selects (in vague, murky rules) to be the nominee?
There’s nothing a bully likes more than an easy target he thinks can’t fight back or beat him. And who he can get his friends to gang up on.
