No one has anything to say for an MMP?

Evening all. Soccer has been coached and Mickey D’s provided the evening sustenance, so all is well. Temperature is under 70F and supposed to head into the 50’s this evening, so turn off the AC and open up some windows and let some air into the room…

Flyboy, never look a gift 100% reduction in the mouth I always say.

red, I should do as you do and shop around more, but frankly I’m lazy and the costs aren’t that great.

lucky, good luck with the Doordash, never have used them, hope they come through.

cookie,   Yeah, I try to make plans early too (have both of my vacations next year pretty much paid for), so I do try and plan stuff ahead. Just funnin’ ya.

I did and as I said there, very, very nice…and the bandana is cute, too…

OK, need to finish my internettin’ and watch a little tackleball, then onwards into 2sday. All y’all take care.

Lovely area up there. We recently visited for the first time.

Yep. I took a 3.1 mile walk along the beach for lunch today. (Averaged 3.11 mph, BTW.)

I use DoorDash perhaps more frequently than I should (not really feeling up to actual cooking), and it’s quite rare to have a significant issue, IME.

Gallon of what, if you don’t mind me asking?

MPH. I fixed it.

You had to know SOMEONE was going to mess with you on that one.

I applaud your pre-planning.

Hope the day was peaceful and replenishing.

Thanks everyone for the good wishes and encouraging thoughts!

Both SSLAWs broke. Luckily it was Monday, and light volume. No weird lost things today. Although there was a box of canned goods that was leaking. Canned corned beef leaking in September in N.C. Thank God that’s Hazardous Ken’s job. Although I do need to get Hazmat certifued, since supervisors tend to dump hazmats on me since they think I know what I’m doing. Dinner tonight was a bacon cheeseburger with gouda, corn on the cob, and homemade potato wedges.

MOSHPIT TIME!

I give you an “A” for team work.

As a poor peasant, I disagree with your Mom.

Well, I didn’t want to hog the spotlight. And good luck on the CPAP study.

" The average human walks 900 miles per year and drinks 22 gallons of beer.So the average human gets 41 MPG.Take that Prius."

So which of you guys is drinking DH’s and my parts of that average?

Happy Moonday!

It was muggy at the park this morning, 70 degrees.
Then we had rain most of the day.
Too bad it didn’t rain soon enough to keep Barky and Humpy home.

Lily came today, She has not been coming as often because her mom is scared she will get into it with Natty Boh. Lily has issues with certain dogs. She’ll have a great time playing until they do something that crosses the line, then she turns into 80 pounds of fury.
Lily mom and I got there very early so we were able to talk and catch up. It was still dark outside and there were already some kids in the skate park. Kids were there yesterday too, in the dark and pouring rain. No problem with parking that early, but I heard the afternoons are a mess.

I took a brush with me, hoping I’d get some work done on Ripple and Echo. That wasn’t happening.
I started brushing Lily and she was in heaven. I got a nice pile of hair off of her, and gave her mom the brush. I’ll try a different one tomorrow, but neither of mine are happy with grooming.

I left early because Barky and Humpy wouldn’t shut up. Their mom and Lucy2 mom were taking across the pavilion from me and Rocky mom. Rocky and Lucy2 were having a great time playing, under our feet. Which is fine, except Barky and Humpy ran in circles around the table barking nonstop.
We couldn’t hear ourselves talk, so I left.

Niece1 finally called me back. She’s been very busy; she has a lot going on right now. I feel better when I think I am not being avoided.
Neither niece has gotten the packet like my son did. I know my son is not the sole beneficiary. However, all the money deposited after my mother’s death has been returned back to where it came from.

I got one thing on the ToDo List that I had been avoiding thinking it was going to be a real PITA and have me cussing. One email and it is fixed. I have to wait for the replacement card, and that is done. Another thing on the list turned out to be a waste of time, I make too much money to qualify for the program. I wish they would tell you the income limits before you go through all the trouble to create an account and fill out a bunch of forms.

The grumpies are somewhat going away.

What’s a ‘DH’?

In this context, the H is Husband. D can be anything from Darling to Damned, etc., depending on just how boneheaded he’s been lately.

Functioning eyes and lungs are good news!

Ha! I always remember to wear pants. Shirts, on the other hand…

{{{{Quietly}}}}

flyboy, yay on the reduction. Tell your wonderful Missus that if the TPTB want to think of you as poor, that’s their problem.

Boo, so glad you’re getting a CPAP. My sister says it was life-changing, BUT she cautions that it takes anywhere from a few weeks to a few months to realize the maximum benefit, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t notice a big difference for awhile. I hope your next visit to the Snooze Hotel is comfy. They ought to give “guests” cocoa with marshmallows and bedtime stories.

Is that legal? More to the point, would that make your life easier or harder…or more hazardous?

Sari, since you get there early, I think you should put up a sign, “Excessive barking is punishable by a fine of up to $500 and up to 7 days in the county jail.” Maybe stick on some bogus city code, like 243.68(e). OK, I know you won’t do this, but thinking about it when Barky and Humpy are driving you nuts might keep you smilinng.

sunny, all fingers and toes are crossed! Please let us know how it goes.

Hugs all around!

  1. I’m not certified, and I don’t have access to the hazmat/MSDS system, but I have more training for it as a UPS peon than I ever had as a manager in any of my retail jobs. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
  2. Easier, just because I’d like to be able to mitigate any safety issues, rather than just leave a note for the Day Shift Hazmat person.

doggio I’ve got an ups delivery scheduled, claims to be “on the way” for today, 7 pm. It’s now 11:45 pm. What does that mean? In all my times getting UPS notices, I’ve never seen “on the way”. Does that mean they dunno?

Weird one. Usually if the package car loader scans it it goes to “Out of Delivery” But I see the backend statuses, not the customer updates.

Got me a fairly decent sleep - and when I woke for a 3AM potty break, it was pouring again. We’re promised sun and 80° today, which should help dry things.

Tonight is a board meeting at daughter’s school, and FCD is on the board. I’ll bring Roxy here after school and feed them supper, then SIL will leave work early to retrieve them and get them to bed. Which means I have a, ummm, challenging afternoon ahead. Since we pretty much cleared the fridge of leftovers, I need to think about supper. Maybe chicken strips and roasted cauliflower and crescent rolls? That’s fairly easy.

Today, the inlaws see the apartment. Breath held and fingers crossed…

And I need to dig back into FCD’s business bank records - I think the state and I disagree on how much I sent in for taxes last year and I need to see the bank statements to verify. I’m hoping I didn’t make a $1K mistake, dammit.

Other than that, just another day in paradise. Happy Tuesday!!
