Hubby wants a big breakfast. I have put him off a bit while I drink my coffee.
Pepper pup has decided that the cats will be her friend if she just tries a little harder, which includes running back and forth between them, and yipping. Great Scott, *I’m *ready not to be her friend if she keeps yipping. Songs in the key of glass shattering are no fun. We are working on not doing that anymore. Ever. Silly pup.
It’s soggy and very windy here today. Storm Brian, apparently. I think we should name nice sunny days (N.O.S) as well, they’re rare enough locally.
I’m now off for the week, but I don’t have much to do, unless we get good enough weather for me to go do a garden visit I sort of need to do for coursework.
Rain is forecast for this afternoon. I hope it does.
Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) was annoyed when she saw “sequins” spelled “sequence” on Ebay ads. “I refuse to buy anything at whatever price from someone who is that stupid!”
I found a hoya vine growing in one of the pots I put out for the Summer and need to bring back in.
flytrap I’m with MP v3.0. They should at least spell correctly. Very cool on the Hoya. My grandparents used to raise those. I haven’t seen them in a few years now. Pics if you get flowers.
We’re stormy here today. Wind and rain. It’s a good day for snuggling up with puppies and reading, so that is my plan.
'The spillage of gasoline was 4500 K gallons In the mangroves and another tanker had to be brought in to off load the other 450K gallons so the accident was at 130 pm and road opened around 1030 pm. By that time I was dancing @ drinking band had a blast. We bought much quantities of street food. I goy a turkey leg , check on a stick, a sausage sandwich and some plantains and fried chic wings.
I had fun, real fun dancing in the street. Got home this am around 930ish. We are gonna have those steak tonight. Already baking the NOT.
swampy, I did a chicken pie a couple of weeks ago and put an aluminum baking pan of the filling in the freezer for topping/baking at a later date. Tis good comfort food.
sunny, you have my sympathy. Nelson and I are working on the indoor voice. He does OK most of the time, but once in a while, things just get too exciting.
Dang butters! You sure do know how to make lemonade out of lemons.
Towels are dry but need to be put away, the laundry room has been cleaned and rearranged, Nelson has had a bath and been to the groomer for a nail trim and I have been to Michael’s for some supplies for the studio. Now to make some cabbage rolls.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love company both comin’ and goin’. 'Twas nice enough that we entertained on the back porch. We ate, we drank, we laughed. Now everyone is gone and everything is clean and put away. I used disposable plates (don’t judge!).
Butters you turned and ick thing into a fun thing. Good for you!
Dinner was salad and just what we wanted. Now that the important stuff is out of the way I did ride to Beaver today for their fall festival and met up with a couple people from over Ohio I know. Didn’t ride a lot but enough to blow the stink off and have some fun. I also didn’t buy anything at the Harley shop ------------- yet. Although one of the owners is going to check on some NOS parts from the 90s she thinks she may still have.
Well that would be a huge truck. It spilled 4500 gallons and had 45k more to be off loaded into another truck. Still the road was close from 130pm until about 1030 pm with hours of traffic backed up in each direction. Goombay celebrates the Bahamian history of the Keys.
Paper plates for guests? You, Sir, are no gentleman.
(Non Southerners: one of us will probably kill the other.)
Still no word from Mom? I hope she isn’t starving, floating around in some tiny life raft. I hope she remembered the MREs, and had time to get them off the wreck.
Spidey — if that was you who decided to visit our of our fine Greene County churches you probably should have waited until Sunday. And picked a Lutheran one. Catholics run home after church; we do brunch.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 65 Amurrkin out and cloudyish with a predicted high of 88 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Summer is attemptin’ a comeback it seems. TWPTB say rain tonight and all day tomorrow. We shall see. Plans today are to deheathenate, have chikin pot pie for N.O.L., and chillage. I went through my closet yestiddy and have a bunch of nice shirts I can no longer wear (I shrunk) that I will take to the church house this mornin’. There is a need for men’s shirt at The Lord’s Pantry and especially larger shirts of which these are. A couple weeks ago I took in a bunch of in really good condition men’s pants I can no longer wear as well. I still have shirts in the laundry room I need to go through. I have vowed I will no longer be a size 2x.
flytrap we were entertainin’ outdoors and sturdy paper plates are proper for outdoor entertainment. So There!
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. At some point purtification for deheathenization must also commence.
blurf was awakened by big trucks picking up storm debris. Our neighborhood is The neighborhood to trick or treat and kids come from far and wide so TPTB decided to clean our hood before Halloween. We don’t participate but I will give some candy to a neighbor that does.
