BatBoy Not Coke Zero! Hubby will not be a happy camper. He loves the stuff. Phooey.

Butters hang in there. It’s Friday! The weekend beckons.

I never minded managing people (well, almost never), but I hated dealing with upper management. If I ever get well enough to work again, I do not want to be in management.

The important thing is you’re getting stuff done! Yay for you!

Hubby has developed a snoring problem. A bad snoring problem. I think it’s the allergies that are around right now. I finally dug out some earplugs last night and put something over my head on top of that and was able to get some sleep after 3 am. Then I got up at 6 for kid school stuff. One more week…

I made it to the sto’ and back. Now I know the back way to get to the airport. This is good because the interstate exit on that road is a horrible nightmare of diverging diamonds that nobody can navigate.

I did forget to get bean soup and Ingles doesn’t carry Tecnu anymore so I’ll have to go out again tomorrow.

Technically I’m not a supervisor, but I am a “team leader” so I have a junior inspector who acts as my helper. My current helper is still on new hire probation, and it’s looking like he’s not going to make it to permanent status. He’ll do anything I ask him to do, but I have to ask him to get him to do anything.

I am so sorry.

It is totally futile for me to attempt swimming as a form of exercise. Every Saturday as a kid, we would go swimming with my cousins, then we’d all get fish 'n chips on the way back.

There are 3 good fish 'n chip shops nearby (OK, technically one doesn’t sell fish, because Bristol is full of hippies, so we have to have a vegan chip shop [actually the one I just went to, being veggie; the food’s good, it just annoys me by being so unnecessarily pretentious]), one between my house and every swimming pool. I am helpless in the face of this.

I finally actually got round to buying new shoes today, which I’ve been putting off for ages.

I did not get round to doing a proper check on the bees, which is also needed. I forgot to bring my gloves or half the stuff I needed (had my suit and smoker, but no tool for getting frames out, or brush for gently getting them off stuff), and my attempts at bodging it were so poor that they got all wound up and started stinging before I’d got 1/4 of the way through. Fingers crossed they won’t swarm before I get another chance to check.

I began rubbing the cats’ shoulders when they were kittens as a sign of affection, and they don’t scratch when I do it too much, they just move. I don’t do the belly rub.

Howdy Y’all! I had some good quality time at the cee-mint pond followed by a shower and dindin at Cheddar’s. All is well.

MetalMouse I am a Poopsi man as well, but will drink Coke when it’s on sale and Poopsi ain’t. I am, above all, cheap.

**FCD **didn’t want supper, so I just had a 'mater sammich. YUM! Today’s chores are done and I’m about to assume the recline position and make hats. It’s been a good day.

metal mouse, that’s one thing that I absolutely hated in my grass cutting days. Iffen you don’t get stopped in time for the random ground dwelling critter, it gets pretty gross.

Groceries are bought, dindin stolen from the general and the bra’s off (I’m challenging swampy for the TMI title  ), so I’m home for the evening.

I am putting laundry away, changing sheets and tidying up. Bleah.

Me too. I consume it like nobody’s business. The new stuff starts it trial in the next couple of weeks, here, so I’ll give it a try and report back. Actually, I think I’ll start a Cafe Society thread about it.

Butters, could someone with lots of time on their hands help you, ahem, ‘resolve’ this problem? If only we knew where to find such a person?

Are they doing away with the flavors as well? In the US of A or only in upsidedown world? (If you look at the can, they don’t look like the typical US 12oz can shape).

However, if Swampy reports in that he took off his bra for the evening, that would, hands down, win the TMI title.

We never doubted.

So I had to work a double. But there is beer.

Last week I was petting Alex Catt. She rolled over, and when I wouldn’t pet her belly, she reached up, grabbed my had, touched it to her belly, and then bit me. It was the most cat thing ever.

Butters, I hear you. If hockey and beer was free, I’d go back to being a minion.

I regret to say that I can’t tell the difference in taste between diet coke and coke zero. Recently the station lounge stopped stocking cans of diet coke in favour of coke zero, I opted for water instead. I’m much the same with pepsi, can’t tell the difference between diet pepsi and pepsi max. I most likely wouldn’t be able to tell between coke and pepsi either. Besides, it all just tastes wrong if it hasn’t got vodka in it.

I can definitely tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi. I’ve never had Coke Zero, so I don’t know if I could distinguish it from Diet Coke, which is my caffeine of choice. I’m just glad I don’t have to drink TAB any longer. It used to be the only choice and it was one nasty non-calorie beverage!

Today is company picnic day. But first, I will do the mulching I put off yesterday - it shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours tops. I need to find or buy some sunscreen - I think I’ll wear a sleeveless shirt to the picnic, since they’re saying we’ll be close to 90°, but my shoulders are milky-white, and I’d rather they not transition to lobster-red, hence the sunscreen. We’ll be leaving about 11:45. The festivities start at noon and I don’t want to be first. And I’m obligated till (I think) 4 because I’ve got 3PM grill duty. I’m hoping we can get on one of the boat rides - not sure how much demand there will be.

I’ve breakfasted, and in a bit, I’ll don grubbies, do my one big chore, then shower, de-fuzzify my legs, and get ready for the festivities.

Happy Saturday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 63 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 90 and N.O.S. for the day. Summer weather at last! This mornin’ I shall head over to the church house around eight to assist with the retrievin’ and placin’ of some playground equipment onto the playground. I’m told this won’t take more than a couple hours to accomplish. We shall see. This afternoon shall be quality time at the cee-mint pond along with the grillage of burgers for dindin. JDD and Partner (we’re done feudin’) and a couple other friends are comin’ to hang out and partake of burgers. Should be a nice afternoon of fun and frolic.

MOOOOOOM have fun at the pic-a-nic. I have become a fan of the spray on sunscreen but still prefer the regular kind to rub on my face, neck, ears, and shoulders. I suggest at least a 45 SPF.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then I shall make myself presentable to be seen in public.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

If I could get SPF 200, I would. Being the delicate flower that I am, I burn to a crisp far too easily.

**FCD **is up, so I’ll get dressed and get my mulching done. ONWARD!!!

This about sums up my employee. Not a smidgeon extra. Not even required extra like the report. It’s like she thinks if she ignores it the requirement will go away. Not anyway to impress the boss when she is trying for a full time permanent position. And if or when she does not get that position I will be the bad guy. No winning for me in this situation.

I’m not entirely sure what the difference is between Diet Coke and Coke Zero, but ostensibly they’ve been trying to emulate the original flavour in each iteration, getting closer each time, and in the meantime Diet Coke was more popular with women, while Coke Zero appeals more to men, (for some reason) (though in my case I fell for their cunning marketing strategy hook, line, and sinker). For me Diet Coke is flavourless, Coke Zero is flavourful, and Coke Life (which is only in limited markets I think) tastes like licking stainless steel.

Not a fan of Pepsi-anything, but it will do in a pinch.

It was marketed for men. Sissies and women drink diet Coke.[sup]TM[/sup]
