What makes it all the more remarkable is that usually when Pit targets win the thread it’s because their allies show up to support them, and thereby turn the tide. In this case, the target is doing it pretty much on his own.

Mr. octopus, you are so encumbered by your negative thought patterns. You are forgetting the good times you had with your friends here.
Worst of all, you have given up acknowledging the advice you have received. If heeded, maybe you wouldn’t be in this vortex. Is this circus sideshow really an existence your wife and children would have wanted for you when you registered here?
I want to tell you a story, Mr. octopus. In 1991 there was a man. He was an urban crack cocaine dealer in his mid-20s. Though he had yet to run into serious legal trouble, he had never filled out a tax return in his life. He lived with his pregnant sister and her fiance who was charged a few months earlier and later convicted of small scale coke selling. So this guy tried to buy $25,000 worth of narcotics from what turned out to be an undercover cop. He was also in possession of firearms at the time. All in all, he served 4 or 5 years before being paroled and there are details of his personal life and who he snitched on that made me even more resentful. So you see, sometimes we have to realize life is not fair. We have to accept there are things we cannot change. We have to let it go and be the best version of ourselves we can.
