Was it really, though? Sayid sets off down the beach; he gets some unknown distance; he finds a cable; he follows it inland, again some unknown distance; he has an adventure; and then… well, I guess we’ll find out tonight.
For all we know, they’re in Florida and he walked from Boca Raton to West Palm Beach.
Can we officially add “Where is Rose?” on the list of questions? She’s been absent the past few episodes, and you’d think they would have at least put her in the census-taking during last night’s episode. She appears to have vanished, perhaps while pursuing her undead husband.
She is always listed as a guest star in the credits so I think the more likely answer is “we only want to pay her when we have a plotline that she HAS to be involved!”
Well, sure it’s possible she just making maps to the made-up island in her head, but somehow I don’t think that’s how her particular brand of crazy works.
And if that is the case, at least she has a lucrative future job in the Fantasy Novel market.
I’m a little surprised that no one has submitted new questions from this episode yet. For me, I woke up with a bad cold (my daughter likes to share) and I’ve had too little energy to formulate anything coherent.
Were you guys waiting for me or is this an idea that has run it’s course?
Actually, watsonwil, I think the question about Ethan should be devided into two, namely:
Who the HELL is Ethan?
and
What does Ethan want with Claire and Charlie?
The question about the psychic should probably be one question as the second one is dependant on the first, namely:
Was the psychic legitamate, and if so, what did he see in his vision?
(Does that make sense?)
Well put.
Questions about the meaning of things in dreams and anagrams of character names are more “meta” question of what the writers were trying to reference. I’m sticking with in story questions I can reasonably expect an answer to.
Though I should point out that “Ethan Rom” is an anagram. It unscrambles to:
He Man or T.
Thus Ethan is either He-Man, Master of the Universe or Mr. T
Why does Sawyer keep calling Kate “Freckles” when she doesn’t have any? At least, not that she’s shown, and seeing as how she stripped down to her bra and string bikini panties in the first episode, if she does have some we haven’t seen yet, that plays well on the theories that she and Sawyer have a … history…
Based on previously demonstrated squeamishness and his hint that the origins of the name may be TMI, I believe that he’s prone to vomiting when faced with certain stimuli.
Of course, he may just be really good at throwing stuff.
