Ok...I finally did it....I got EverQuest.

I have a good friend in my guild… Ougabouga, level 65 female ogre shaman. And it is a sight to behold, no doubt!

'course, being a chanter, you can make any female shammy into an ogre if I want… so maybe you should work on that, Sejal!

if YOU want, I meant!

Athena I could if I had Project Illusion… But so far I have 88 AA and I am not even close to the point where I feel like I can “throw away” 4 AA on what is essentially a toy. You may note from Magelo that my Int is 305… That is, of course, without buffs. I’m currently working on Gather Mana, because I want to be able to be full mana suddenly when I’m OOM, and from there I will put points into all five levels of Hastened Gathering. Only once that is done will I put more points in Innate Enlightenment abd Planar Power in order to increase my intelligence cap. Then I plan on finishing out Total Domination… You can see where Project Illusion fits into the plan…

LOL! I know Ougabouga! And I think I’ve seen Bryllyn running around, too!

I play a druid on Tunare… Mussounsaram (and that’s a name that POs people when they try to send me a tell!). I’m level 58 right now, but blasting to 59 as fast as possible (I really want PotC bad!).

I’ll join the chat channel tonight!

WRONG!

I play a 65 cleric and that is so not true for my class. Sure I need HP but more than that, I need AC and wisdom.

Wow.

He’s serious.

correct me if I’m wrong… but isn’t the whole damn game a toy?

hehehehe

Yeah, Muss, we’ve talked a few times… didn’t you used to be in Children of Honor?

Anyway, I’m in the channel right now, only one :dubious:

I had a 60 Shaman on Tallon Zek. I sold the account to a friend last year, mostly because I had a destructive addiction to the game. I played a Paladin before that to level 52, but stopped playing him because I didn’t enjoy the complete inability to play the game without a group. It’s nice to play a character that is good in a group and can play solo.

Just be careful playing the game. It’s easy to get addicted and I know a lot of people, myself included who have suffered in life because of their addiction to this particular game.

Also – and this is from my personal experience – if you’re going to be playing this game with your wife/significant other, be very careful that your quality time doesn’t turn into time where you each stare at your own computer screen, and ignore each other. Being in the same room doesn’t make it quality time.

Athena Ermm… Umm… Well… Of course the whoe game is a toy… [Twitch] and no I don’t take it too seriously [Wibble] I mean… Oh who am I fooling? hehe We’re pushing hard to get access to the elemental planes… We managed to kill Saryrn (While the zone was bugged even!) and are working on the Tower of Solusek Ro now… A few mpre weeks and the Elemental stuff will start popping up on my profile… Woohoo! I need new shoes!

I played EQ for pretty much 3yrs straight…I wouldnt say I was ‘addicted’, lol, but what addict ever does? heck I even was a Guide on Mith Marr for a while! 'Course it did keep me from having to pay to play, and even though I have not guided for over a year my account is still free.

I have 3 chars on Fennin just gathering dust now (havent played in 8months) but for some reason I just cannot find the heart to actually ‘kill’ them or give away any of their items!!! Anyway, you will love the game once you get going…just try, and it will be HARD, to avoid camping static spots to much. EQ is a HUGE world with lots of fun things to do…go explore have fun, dont get caught in the level hunt to much. and be nice to your Guide!! they are volunteers!!

hehe, I know the feeling, Sejal… there is no end to what NEEDS to be done. Which is partially why I got Project Illusion… was taking the game too seriously, and figured that getting something just for fun would be a welcome break.

Yup… still in CoH, too!

I’ll be playing a bit later… I’ll try to send you a tell!

I had a friend get me hooked and then his computer took a crap and I’m left playing alone!
Aslynn is a ninth lever wood elf druid I promised to only play when he was one, and Ardelle is a fourth level wood elf druid I am running on my own.
I don’t remember my server name except it starts with an X or a Z. I will look here in a few minutes.
And how do I get in a chat?
And anyone feel free to tell me at any time. I got the hang of that I think.
I have been playing alot at Orc hill, but to scared and to low level to go to Crushbone. The issue is I need an orc ribcage for a beginners quest. I WILL finish this quest!
My husband just doesn’t understand why I have list with twenty pages of spells I can get and four different maps sitting on the computer desk.
And for those of you who remember from the other thread I still haven’t upgraded my video card but I’m working on it.

To get into chat type /join serverwide.SDMB. It gets worse Kricket. Soon you discover you cant keep it to just 20 pages then you find you have to get a notebook and alphabetise the maps. Should I tell her about the epic… Um no better not.

Sejal Have you seen the shoes that drop off of korathek in Chardok B? They have ft2 and pretty nice stats. As far as i can tell the only better shoes outside time are still emp shoes or elemental. He is pretty easy to kill, depending on healers (and assuming lvl 65 lower levels will take more) he is probably one groupable, certainly two. I am not sure I agree on you that finding the class is how to have success, I think it is finding play style. I had the right fit of class for me and Stuck to it and didn’t have any serious alts till I was 60. My husband never plays the same char three nights in a row. His highest char is 57 after almost two years of play although he has now played almost every class into their 30s. I don’t get it but he enjoys. We also have made a trio of frogs that we play occasionaly with our daughter. They are level 5. She is a paly and my husband plays a cleric there and I play a wizard. I don’t think we will ever let them get above 10 because real corpse runs upset her too much. Anyway here is my stuff. furli

furlibusea, I already have FT15, so adding a couple more won’t help me a lot… I believe that the guild I am a member of is within a couple months of getting into the elemental planes, so I’ll just hold out for the Elemental shoes and be happy with that. The big effects I’m looking for now are Mana Preservation 4 so I can replace the Nevederia’s Left Eye, which has MP3, but the stats are more melee oriented, and I’d like to increase my Cha a little more. The slots I’m interested in upgrading are both fingers, shoes, and both bracers. That gives me a little option as far as how to go about upgrading the effects/stats I have. Its like a big jigsaw puzzle trying to figure out what items to get to maximize your stats across the board. Its actually one of the more fun things about EQ :stuck_out_tongue:

The corpse runs give me the creeps as well. Even though I’m not at a level where I have to retrieve them yet it is still unnerving to run by my body laying there all crumpled up.
Okay, my server is Zebuxoruk.
After I posted last night I ended up getting on and playing till five in the morning!
I’m fighting the urge to play as we speak. I’m camped right before zoning into Crushbone. There was a Orc Warlord that kept kicking my ass. But I have been told that this is the only place to get that ribcage I need.
I have a quick question that may sound silly, but here it goes.
Can I make another toon to play on a different server? And if I do and build it up is anyone here willing to group with me? Is there one that maybe we can all play on and group together?
Alright, so it was more than one question.

Yes, you can make a toon on a different server. You’re allowed 8 toons per server, except on some “special” servers like Firiona Vie where only one toon is allowed.

I have some newbie toons on Tunare… if you wanna try that out I’ll dust 'em off and group with you some.

Damn, the people there are friendly!

I finally learned my hide skill and I stumbled upon a couple of Dark Elves and hailed them.
They both clamored to their feet as they couldn’t see me, but the higher lever DE took care of that.

We sat and chatted for a while and he gave me Phantom armour. I know the stuff doesn’t last, but, man! I wish it did.

So, what kind of character did you end up making? Curious minds want to know.

I’ve learned that too Kwyjibo. I mean at least that there are some pretty darn friendly people out there.
As for playing with the dark elves I’m told I cannot do that being I play with the wood elves. I guess they don’t mesh well.
Come to think of it I don’t think I’ve ever seen one. But I mostly stay close to that big stupid tree (I fall out all the damn time especially with SoW) and Orc hill.

Tunare and Erollisis Marr seem to be the two that most dopers are on. I would still like to have all of us get one toon all on the same server and pick a day to play.
I’m willing to go to any server suggested and start a new toon even though I’m the type of person who is pretty attached to the two I already play as I’m sure the rest of you are.

I made Half-Elf Rogue.
