Well, today’s was Mom and I were going from work to some sort of Bat Mitzvah. Then I ended up at some sort of condo that was the living embodiment of the 1970s, and some lady’s pet black bear got loose in the pool area, and was menacing me.
I’ve been to parties like that. 
I don’t have all the ingredients for the chicken, so that will be a modified coronation chicken.
Don’t forget the tiaras.

Neighbor brought Hubs’ car back. The oil filter was leaking; not sure if it was not put on correctly or if it was a bad filter but new one put on; no charge.
The collision shop had washed my car. Today, while driving, I thought that the passenger window was down but it wasn’t, it was just so clean, it looked like it wasn’t there. Although when I came out to go to the Fitness Center, a bird had done its business on the passenger door; not at all happy about that; darn bird.
Well the shoulder is doing marginally better. I’m sure you were all waiting to hear. Tis 11 pm and I’m off to bed. Wasn’t that long ago that this’d be the start of the night.

Yes…and no. We don’t usually say those things in front of family…and driving drunk is a very different thing than the usual “hitting that blind curve at 60” sort of reason most of the other club members have gone down.
His widow is super pissed, she was at the bar trying to bring him home. He was at the bar because they lost a patient he had really bonded with.
Her mother was grief cooking and the entire family was gathered around, but very welcoming to the club that had been part of his life since he got out of the Marines. The reaction to hubs showing up with a trunk load of paper products was so impressive that everyone walking in the door today came with napkins or toilet paper as well as with booze.
I brought a small needlework piece and some plastic canvas and various noob supplies. The 12 year old spent some time just watching me before asking what I was doing. I talked and showed and we agreed on a little piece using Dean’s name and some flowers which we designed on her tablet. When we left, she was lost in the stitching trance, so I felt I did a little good.
Glad you are back, shoe. You had mentioned being sick, but I didn’t realize just how sick you were. I’m glad you are better.
The main reason I am so good at going to Tai-chi is because my instructor reminds me to be there and if I miss a class, she will text me after the class to ask if I am OK or if she should stop over to help me. Personal naggers are so very helpful!

The DMV experience was fairly painless, but unfortunately we only accomplished half of what we went for.
In order to get a Driver License we needed proof of our Social Security numbers. The DMV website says that a W2 works as documentation for this, so we grabbed those out of last year’s tax folder and figured we were good. Wish we’d looked more closely; we might have noticed that the first five digits of the SSN are X’s. “Yeah,” said the DMV Lady, “the government started doing that a few years back.” Well, thanks for that info, it doesn’t help us now.
So now we have to go online and order actual physical Social Security Cards, and Og knows how long that will take. But I’m not really dreading a return visit, as they seem to have things fairly streamlined there, for a DMV anyway.
And the good news is that both our cars are now sporting shiny new Nevada license plates, and that we went out and had a nice lunch afterwards. Later we went down to the local pub and had not margaritas, but vodka and sodas to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

Up dark and early for the happenings in London. So far tapioca pudding for breakies, as I can’t be trusted with sharp hot things this early.
Reminded me of my Uncle Bob - my mom’s youngest brother. He was a bit of a hell-raiser most of his life (dearly departed now.) But I remember him saying that he continued to avoid meat on Friday to make up for the gambling, drinking, cussing, etc. 
I guess that was his get-out-of-hell-free card!

Apparently all I need is 6 hours of sleep. Try as I might to snooze longer, I can’t. Dammit. So I’m up, the critters have been tended, and I stuffed an English Muffin in my face. That’s my concession to the coronation bru-ha-ha! Plus I stole this from doggio:
When FCD gets up and we’re both dressed for leaving the house, we’ll finish the wiring for the battery chargers that are part of the thruster system. Each thruster has 2 batteries and a charger. The yard guys will install the batteries, but we’ll do the breaker and the chargers, and I think there’s a fuse or 2 in there. So that’s today; And maybe some waxing, tho I doubt that will happen. We shall see.

Back from Sapporo. I teach online on Saturday afternoons so I came back earlier.
I was gone a couple of days and there’s over 100 posts! I can’t keep up!
The in-laws leave tomorrow. I’ll go pick up my family at the airport and then it’s the end of the holidays and back to work / school on Monday.
It’s been nice to forget about the real world for a few days.

We took the afternoon off and went to the County Court house to take out our Marriage license. About an hour later an F4 tornado cut through the center of town. They said it was an omen…
Afternoon,mumpers! It’s 13c/56f with a predicted high of 14c/56.1f out there, and with rain showers. I have been outside, when I left it was dry and fine but when I was ready to head home, it was raining. Weather app says “Right on the fucking cusp of suckiness”.
So far my morning has involved a HIIT class, an extreme spin class, and a chunk of time picking up heavy things and putting them down again. After a restorative cuppa, it’s time for a shower then we’re heading into town for lunch at the Good Chinese Place, then the usual errands and a quick stop at the Gettin’ Sto’ for the purposes of gettin’ what the normal sto’ didn’t have when we went on Tuesday.
My turn to make dinner tonight so either meatballs and sketties, unless we get some chicken from the market and I use some of that for something else. I’ll work that one out later 
One thing I can guarantee is that there will be absolutely no watching the Gammons waving their flags at the shiny hat party.

JtC the meeting generator is a member of staff with a total persecution complex, one of those people who rarely sees anything positive in their day, hangs on to everything as a grudge, and despite having the easiest workload in the entire department will still tell you they have the worst job in the world. Chocolate is a cheaper coping mechanism than vodka!

Morning all. Up early to get ready for soccer, my first game refereeing is at 8:30am and the weather looks good, so I don’t think it’ll be cancelled. Then on into the afternoon, supposed to be in the 70’sF, so might just mow the lawn if I have the ambition (60% chance of rain tomorrow).

Good to hear all the fine starts to the weekend. Net of boofae’s sucky weather of course.
It’s now 3 hours since sunrise, and not quite 4 hours since I started balconating under a slightly pink sky in teh east with a gorgeous full moon low in the west. The weekend beach traffic has just started to develop; it had been blissfully quiet all morning. Coffee pot was made & drained, presently 79F/26C on the way to 86F/30C with a hint of breeze & a hint of humidity. The sun sparkles nicely upon the almost calm sea with a couple of slowly passing freighters and the gathering horde of recreational small craft.
Now’s about the time for the Mad Strummer or the Bagpiper to put in an appearance but so far no sign of either. The building site has a gathering gaggle of workers doing whatever in the interior and on some balconies. Can’t really tell what’s going on, but it involves no giant machinery.
My weekend ends today, and Sunday’s on-call / irkage commences at 4am. The omens are poor; Much work to cover & few heads to do so. I predict actual Sunday irkage shall be assigned later today, so I’m now prioritizing my preferences should skating prove impossible.
Her Ladyship has arisen, so it’s time to start the mutual slothage in preference to the solo slothage with y’all.

Mornin’ everyone.
It’s currently 49 degrees and wet outside. The high temp will be around 58 degrees, and the day will be primarily rainy with some breaks for cloudy skies. It rained pretty much all day yesterday.
I went and got my hair toned and cut yesterday morning and was on my way to pick up some breakfast when my son called me on the cell phone to say he was in the drive-through at Mickey D’s to pick up breakfast for all of us. The place where I get my hair cut is located in the same shopping center as Mickey D’s, and I was across the road from there when he called. So, after telling him what I wanted, I turned around and headed home. My son arrived approximately five minutes later.
Polar was very happy to see his boy and was even doing the play bow. He lurves his boy!
At any rate, we all hung out yesterday, and my son and husband played computer games and virtual reality games together. I’m not sure what’s on the agenda today. My daughter, grandkids, and son-in-law may come down too. If not, we’ll find something to do. Right now, my son is still sleeping and I’m enjoying some coffee and computer time.

First, I had no idea what Gammons is/was so googled:
Gammon is a pejorative popularised in British political culture since around 2012. The term refers in particular to the colour of a person’s flushed face when expressing their strong opinions, as compared to the type of pork of the same name.
Second, I can understand now why you used that term as I think the shiny hat party is absolutely ridiculous, particularly the female wearing the shiny hat. The male only used his first wife as a brood mare, SHAMEFUL.
So, I’m trying very hard to avoid seeing any of that. Have been watching DVR’d shows but each time one ends, ACK, there they are, ACK, so quickly put a new DVR’d show on.
Plans are to wash dishes, mow the backyard, go KROGERING, perhaps go to a rosary group, meet up with coworker to learn new task or possibly none of those and just take care of Hubs and sloth.
