My insurance company offers a $100 reward for a biometric screening ever year. So I scheduled a routine exam plus a biometric screening. My PCP only requested the blood draw for the routine exam. So they didn’t have the blood work for the biometric screening. So they sent bloodwork form last July (which doesn’t count for this reward). So it looks like I’m out $100 of free money.
Aw, hell’s bells. The fridge is making unhappy noises, again, and the vents in the back are looking iced over.
Do any kind Mumpers have suggestions or ideas besides paying the repair tech to come back out again? I just got off work; I’m too tired & hungry to deal, and Monkey is demanding what little attention I possess.
But if I’ve eaten all that I’ve made, then I’ll gain back all 60 pounds that I’ve lost in one night!
You deserve it. I’m glad you and your "did I mention she’s hot " wife ( ) deserve the good grub.
Oh. My. God. The stupid. It burns.
Yeah, I’m not sure if I’d need to be chemically altered to laugh at that. Then again, if I were chemically altered, I’d probably say things that wouldn’t be at all polite.
Because we’d miss you greatly if you weren’t keeping up with your help.
I don’t have a quick and easy answer for a tired shoe. The best I have is using a hair dryer to melt the coils. {{{shoe}}}
awww poor tree I love oak trees and furniture … well as long as I don’t have to move it too often lol
heh live around here where they make and test a lot of the weird flying things you get warnings like "Remember do not take pictures of anything in the sky on month x and day y from 9 am to 9 pm doing so will be considered a breach of national security…and dealt with accordingly "which just begs for the words of woo to come out …
oh and about my melted flip flops … i actually ran to where the grass was and mom carried me a bit of the way until we reached the pic n save and bought new flip flops that weren’t meltable …
To be honest, I only have one because sometimes CtE needs it for (what used to be) their long, thick hair. I haven’t used one myself since… the early 90s?
I’m thinking I remember you saying you had to be “creative” when you managed to get your fridge into the hole. If it doesn’t have enough ventilation over the coils, it won’t be able to work right. I’ll bet you could borrow a drill and buy a door knob cutter thingy to add some air holes through the side of the cabinet…
Wow. I’ve known about the Chemtrails* conspiracy since before I was read into the program err … umm … began flying jets, yeah that’s it, began flying jets.
But the birth control angle is new. I suppose it’s a take-off (heh) on the Replacement Theory. The reason Those people are breeding so much and White people are not is all the White-specific birth control drugs being sprayed. Yeah, sure it is.
It used to be that we they, yeah, they, only sprayed mind control stuff. Though the people whose minds we the stuff controlled always seemed more unhinged than controlled to me.
* For anyone needing the detailed background on this nonsense:
They will absolutely LOVE it. This would really motivate them.
I’ve been trying real hard to keep from crying. I’ve managed to do so except for a few tears rolling down my cheeks. At 9:54pm EDT I or rather my car was hit by a 19 yr old who ran a stop sign. I was on my way home from Kroger and was 1/2 block from my house.
Luckily no one was injured as he hit the left front corner of my car. So, this was less than 1-1/2 hr ago. So, it’s fresh. My insurance expires tomorrow so I called and paid to renew it as soon as I got in the house. Then I called and reported the claim. I’m going to bed now.
I’ll bet that is what it is. I had noticed that the mind control stuff went away when Bill Gates started putting it in all vaccines and 5G. It really is kinda interesting to ask non-threatening questions, I get the sort of earnest, helpful answers I would if I asked how a swamp cooler worked. There are no super secret plane factories building planes with tanks and sprayers, ALL planes have them and nobody notices because the computers are the ones that control everything.
Most pilots think the chem tanks are some sort of fuel injection system and don’t pay attention to them as long as the gauges are all green.
OMG!!! Absolutely cry! You just had a horrible scare and you are still in shock. I’m glad you weren’t hurt and agree that if you want to go to bed and cry, that is the very best thing you can do.
Wow, how did you sneak that in. Yes, I cried over the tree, I’m pretty sure it died of the heat.
Are you on Nextdoor? If so, would you trust me with your password. I wouldn’t ever post a single thing, but OMG, the Conspiracy Theories there must be awe inspiring.
And sorry for laughing about your melted flops, but now I’m snorting about your journey to the store. I’m not a very nice person at times.
I’ve been making this recipe since 2002 (according to the printout) and it’s definitely a crowd favorite. I usually make ¾ recipe and use whatever nuts I have available. Yesterday’s batch was a mix of pecans and walnuts). The dough is really stiff so it’ll give your mixer a workout. Coconut-Almond Chocolate Chip Cookies
But if you really like coconut, this is a super easy recipe that makes awesome cookies: Chewy Coconut Cookies (I’ve only had that recipe since 2005)
Haven’t actually baked any of the cookies yet. Guess I should put in a few trays.
Another reason for legalization - people need to calm down and be able to enjoy life.
I love how some people just make things up. Due to 5G I can use my phone as a hotspot and have a connection that is almost as good as my wired one.
Glad no one was injured, but so upsetting.
Today is extra weird as Friday, Sunday and Monday are holidays, so today is the only day for normal shopping. Need a few items (especially mayo and eggs, if I want deviled eggs), but I want to wait until after 12:00, because the store will be a bit emptier since everyone else will be home for lunch.
I think I’ll go with the easy part - bake some cookies.
Dammit - I knew I shouldn’t have missed my last 20 biennial flight reviews… Nobody tells me anything any more.
Our Nextdoor is pretty boring. The current bitchfest is about how our electric co-op is ripping us off because some people are getting really big bills. Of course, they ignore the posts by those whose bills are going down because they, yanno, pay attention to how much power they use. And it’s pretty convenient to forget that ALL fuel costs are up and except for a single solar panel farm, our electricity is generated with fuel, ergo…
But, of course, it’s Biden’s fault. And probably Hilary’s also - I just don’t drill down far enough into those threads. Frankly, I just skim the forum to see if anything is said about local businesses and such.
SIL has to work tomorrow and FCD doesn’t really want to go to my niece’s, so Daughter and I will take the grands and go ourselves. And since my poor sweetie is still trying to hork up a lung, he should stay home anyway. So he will.
I’ll take the trash to the convenience center first thing, then do the deviled eggs. The carpeting needs a good roll-suck. Beyond that, I’ll continue with crocheting. The fundraiser is 2 weeks from today - I should see how much of what I have.
There are cat butt coasters and flower coasters and some finger puppets left over from last time. I’ve got 3 jellyfish stuffies and the assorted critters I’ve been making the last week or so. I found a pattern last night for a cute little basket - I may make a few of them. Then I need to figure out pricing - that’s the worst part. I want the school to get as much as possible but no one will pay $20 for a crocheted doll. Plus I don’t want to need to make stupid amounts of change - better to charge $5 than $6 so I don’t need a pile of ones.
Fundraising is such a challenge!
Speaking of which - JtC - would you mind if I picked your brain off-forum about grants and such? I didn’t want to PM you out of the blue.
