(Old) Spot-ify: The MMP That's The Cat's Meow

I get shimmery arcs.

That’s what it’s progressed to.

Fortunately, it’s not a precursor to a full-blown migraine (for me at least - YMMV.)

Congrats, VanGo!!!
Happy Anniversary, JtC and Hubs!!

Currently sitting here with a poodle on my lap and contemplating a nap. I was productive-ish this morning as I got MusicMan’s taxes done!

Okay, I want your valued opinions.
I bought Blue Diamond almond milk.
The ring to the cap was sturdy. I was the first to open it.
The little aluminum(?) Covering in the hole was broken.
Its happened before.
Safe to use?

JtC Happy anniversary!!! And I know you know, but don’t drive over the bridge if’n the water gets above it.

Now the Travelling Wilburys and « Monkey Man »

I was familiar with the term, but didn’t know until today that - like everything else - it has its own Wikipedia page.

Let us know how it goes! :crossed_fingers:

Oh, so my fuzzy little furface was just warming up earlier :notes: got it.

Went on the shopping trip with klickity of course. I expected things to be a bit crazy, with Super Bowl parties and predicted storm. I guess I hit just at the correct time.

Our building has the lobby set up for viewing the game. They will provide pizza, the people attending will provide other nummies. I got decorated brownies at acme (or ak ka me as they say in south Philly). They have cute little plastic rings on the brownies. Footballs, eagle helmets, and big Super Bowl rings.

I hope the commercials are good.

So my garage door is frozen down. At least the rental car isn’t in it. And not forecast to be above freezing for the as yet guessed future.

So far I have completed one, and it became the one I roll up in when I sleep on the couch. I have four in various stages of completion. When I finish this one it will become our summer weight bed spread. The current warm weather bed spread is the first quilt Sunflower made and it is showing its age.

This is our warm weather spread:

This is our winter spread. It is over sized with a flannel top and back with double batting in between. It is incredibly warm, which is why I sometimes end up on the couch rolled up in my Irish Chain quilt

My wife is a gifted quilter. I have learned a lot from her

Howdy Y’all! Been home from funeralizin’ for a bit. Just needed to sit and chill. The funeral was well attended. I saw some folk I hadn’t seen in a while, so that was good. The funeral guy came up to me after the funeral and said he wished every church had someone like me to answer questions and make sure of details. I can’t take too much credit as we do have customaries and checklists for all occasions even regular worship services. OK, I did have input in writin’ it all up. The reception was nice as well. Most of the sammiches got et and I foisted the rest off on folk. Not to worry, OYKW has chikin sallit to eat on. I have no desire for sup, so he will forage as needed. However, there will be Netflix, chill and popcorn in a while.

Goo cried all the way to the vet, a half-hour drive. The vet said she was in great health after the physical exam, but she thought Goo’s thyroid might be slightly enlarged. She drew blood for a full panel. Goo also got a vaccinated for rabies and some sort of respiratory risk. Goo behaved very well with the vet and the assistant, which was a little surprising. She cried all the way home, but not as much as on the way out. She’s happy to be home. Abbey was hiding under a bed and didn’t come out for a bit. I guess she didn’t like being left all alone.

One of my co-workers couldn’t make it in the other day because the door to his unit was frozen shut and he was waiting for maintenance to come to open it.

32F/0C and fair, wind chill 24F/-4C; low tonight 29F. Winter storm warning until 1100 tomorrow: snow and sleet, followed by freezing rain and sleet, followed by snow, freezing rain and sleet. 3-7 inches of snow and ice forecasted, so I’m expecting 2-4 inches. About time this winter started looking/acting like winter!

I know with the broth I buy, when you unscrew the lid, it cuts the metal seal inside - I’m guessing your almond milk has the same feature.

BBBoo - your text came while we were driving, and in FCD’s car, sender and text appear on the display. He said “Who the heck is that??” You confused my poor sweetie!

We were coming home from Texas Roadhouse - went there for an early supper since we didn’t have lunch. We’s both stuffded now and in hard-core chill mode. It’s still rainy and ick outside, but it’s supposed to end soon. We shall see.

Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy - neurodegenerative disease linked to repeated trauma to the head; symptoms can include behavioral issues, mood issues, problems w/ thinking and can result in dementia.

Happy Anniversary to JtC & Hubs :clinking_glasses:

You know that’s because she knows the bunnies are stirring. :rabbit2:
After Dakota passed over the :rainbow: :bridge_at_night: , daughter said she would not get another beagle or pup that had as much of a prey drive, as getting up at the crack of dawn was basically the only thing she didn’t like about Dakota.

FCM sounds like the extra $$$ for the X350 will definitely be well worth it with the upgrades and particularly a maintenance gent who will come to house and take care of what needs to be done at end of each season. Bonus if he’s good eye candy.

Well, when I started reading the mmp today, I had 50+ posts to read, I’ve read about 27 with 27 to go. Since I have to start working on dinner, I’ll post what I have so far and hopefully get back to it later this evening. Oh, as far as today, the Spartans were in action against the Oregon ducks. At half, they were down 14, 50-36. In the second half, they totally came alive and won 86-74. Then I’ve been watched my golf sweetheart, Jordan Speith, at the Phoenix Waste Management Open. He’s tied for 2nd at 13 under but he’s on the 17th green right now and it doesn’t look good for making par.

Snowing again. :frowning: It started about half an hour, 45 minutes ago. Weather-dot-com’s current time is 14:45 and indicates ‘Few Snow Showers’. The forecast for 15:00 is ‘Partly Cloudy’ (continuing, then sun, at least through Monday, on the hourly forecast page). That’s 15 minutes away. Let’s see how accurate they are.

EDIT @14:57
The Sun’s coming out.

Well, considering he does the maintenance between November and March, I’m guessing any eye candy will be wrapped in fleece, plus I won’t be out there looking, regardless!
