(Old) Spot-ify: The MMP That's The Cat's Meow

Today has been for various chores that I hope, probably fruitlessly, will keep me from running around in the wee smalls on Saturday trying to pack. This entailed running out to get a new computer cable.

I also have to stop by the office to see about the lease. I’m hoping I can get a 15 month lease so I can move, if I have to, at a better time of year than the end of February.

FCM, my son had an ingrown toenail. We called it the platinum toe because it took three surgeries to cure it–long story that won’t happen to you. Hope you heal fast! I’m so glad you and FCD are taking a hard line on your BIL. You’ve both been through more than enough. Also, yay, pizza!

MetalMouse, hooray for the green light from the surgeon!

sticky, I loathe traffic circles. And I’m sorry you lost your sweet ride back then.

My sister went to her eye doc for double vision. It turned out to be extremely high blood pressure. I hope yours is due to something minor and easily corrected.

I’m giving you a standing ovation. Hope the back improves soonest!

Spot: You have destroyed my labyrinth of caves! I shall wreak vengeance. [Eyes human’s nose speculatively.]

I’m making aspara nikumaki tonight. I cut up the trimmings (before marinading the meat in teriyaki sauce) and fried them up with a little salt. I threw most of them away, but saved some as ‘hushkitties’.

Kitties get their gooshy food at 4 o’clock, so they have 11 minutes to wait.

I’ve got the nikumaki assembled, and I’ll put them in the broiler after the cats eat.

Cold spaghetti also.

W2s and 1099s need to be sent out by January 31;although in certain instances 1099s can be provided by February 15.
K-1s for partnerships and Subchapter S corporations do not have to be provided to partners/SubS shareholders until March 15.

I made tuna noodle casserole with peas and yellow bell peppers in it and of course, diced onions, diced celery and chopped celery leaves and mushrooms.

Nellie. My double vision is caused by the dreaded aging. Or the 7 day headache I had right before the dv started.

When did snow plows add green blinky lights?

FCM You gotta do what’s best for you. You’ve had a tough couple of years, no need to bring more stuff onto your hearth.

I really want pizza, but the weather out there is shitty, meaning I don’t wanna drive, nor do I want delivery guys to drive. I guess it’ll be quesadilla instead.

doggio Beware the wrath of SPOT! He may yeet something special off of a table.

Sorry, no. Just ick.

The boat is progressing. There are occasional visitors to the space I’m using to build. Almost always a comment about building the boat in the basement. But Hah! I have cleverly made the boat in pieces that will fit through the frustratingly small door of the museum. The damn door is 5’x7’. I’m building a boat that is 13’x17x8’.

I’m glad you have a solid plan. Your welfare and your husband’s welfare are primary.

Howdy Y’all! Laundry got laundered and put where it lives until it gets dirty again. I motivated and went to Sam’s. Go Me! Of course that wore me out so nappage was needed. We day drank out beside the ceemint pond because it was so nice out. We had what we call Bloody Bubbas, which is a beerverage poured into a cup with a sploosh of V8 juice and a dash or four of hot sauce. One may also squeeze in a little lemon or lime if one desires. Leftovers got et up for sup.

MOOOOOOM ICK! You deserve to sit in your recliner with your toe elevated while FCD brings you cold drinks and snacks. Hope it’s all better soonest.

MetalMouse yay for the clean bill of health.

WetOne hope the eye woes are all better soonest.

Coppertone I am cautious about prescription pain meds as well. Hope your back feels better soonest.

Sensei great to hear from ya!

All others with ailments and woes, I know I’ve missed some, feel better soonest.

Are the lighter-than-navy blues variegated or did you change colors as you went?

Good to see you pop in sensai!

That’s why I replaced my battery ahead of the last cold snap. The old battery was 6+ years old, as it was the car’s original. And your $200 battery was a good deal.

I’m so sorry about your BIL Moooooooom. At this point, there’s not a lot that you can do.

Irked, came home, walked Nelson, et, did KP and played around in the studio. IOW, a typical Tuesday.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

It has a three year warranty with AAA.

I love the smell of cold pizza in the morning. It smells like…victory.
Mooom, long ago, my mom had the nail on one big toe removed. She told the surgeon she couldn’t imagine anyone getting it done twice. The doc told her one woman had all ten done at once! As it turned out, I later met that lady. I married her daughter, and I later found out about her toenails. By the way, my mom always painted nail polish on the skin where her nail had been.
Be well, everybody. See you later.

And a good early evening all. My get-up-and-go got-up-and-went, so I never made it to the gym and spent the day slothing about the house. Only time outside was to get my hearing aid inspected (the right one wasn’t working). They fixed it up, but frustratingly they didn’t tell or leave me a note on what was wrong or what I could do to prevent it. Anyway the usual Mac-n-Cheese dinner has been assimilated and will probably do some reading here in a bit. Hopefully will be more motivated tomorrow.

Got my last paper 1099 today, so once Edward Jones posts their documents, I’ll download this years Turbotax and get that done.

Oopsie, 57F is not Ali-bama time to open up the windows…add about 20 degrees to that and we’ll talk,

Coppertone, take care. Hope the pain remains manageable.

VanGo, a speeding snowplow is something I don’t want to see; you don’t know if he’s heading for something or running from something…

FCM, hope you guys stand firm (I know you will), after everything you two have been through the last 15 months or so, another drama is something you don’t need; that said, I hope BIL gets the professional help he definitely needs.

wet one, hope the eyes start behaving better. And 4 MRI’s in 2 months; I had the first two in my life in the past 5 months.

Just tell them you’re making it for Agent Gibbs ( Agent Gibbs from the TV show NCIS built boats in his basement.

Never had an ingrown toenail to the best of my memory, at least not one requiring surgery. Hope to keep it that way.

And talked to brother about the Dr. report, he had already read it in the Book of Faces, but I had promised to call so I did. And that should be the last responsible adult thing for the day. Take care all.

That’s “Special Agent Gibbs” to you.

Even better!

It is bucketing down rain, plus high wind. Buddy is happily snoozing in my desk chair, Allie’s most likely in her preferred spot under the end table.

Double mushrooms for me, green peppers and double pepperoni for FCD.

I don’t eat it cold - nukelate for 30 seconds and it’s good to go. Breakfast of champions. Or champignons, if you prefer.

He feels guilty, but he knows it wouldn’t end well if his brother moved it. Plus, frankly, BIL hates him - loooooong history there involving not a small amount of jealousy.

The doc seemed concerned about how my nail will look - I told her I’m rarely sockless, so it doesn’t matter. Besides, I’m definitely not vain about my feet. I know they’re gorgeous - I have nothing to prove!

I hope so, too. But on the cold, harsh side, I’m glad he got me added to his bank account. That way if he does decided to eat all his pills at once, his savings won’t be tied up in probate forever (I know he doesn’t have a will.)

I had to recruit FCD to help me clear some of the solidified carbon out of the pellet stove burn tray. I’d let it cool down all day since the weather was mild, and before firing it up again, I decided it needed a bit of cleaning. So I did what I could and had him deal with the rest. It’s fired up again and working fine, so yay!

BTW, my toe is OK - oddly enough, it hurts the worst when I try to stand - I guess it’s flexing. Once I’m upright, it’s just slightly achy. The purple will come off tomorrow morning, and after I shower, my sweetie will be my nurse and bandage it up again.

And that’s about it for now. I’ll be toddling off to bed soon. Sleety/snowy/wintry mix on tap for tomorrow, so I shan’t be leaving the house… at least I don’t think I will be. We shall see come morning.

For now: MWAH!!! :kissing_heart:

And the Shamrock Shake is now available, so Golden Arches Catering handled dinner tonight. DH insisted that Christine was demanding a trip in bad weather.

I’m one sick shoe. Monday’s “lie in bed too depressed to eat anything” really did a number on my stomach, and I had a predictably terrible night.
Lasted exactly two hours at work before being sent home, and only now have started keeping down sips of water.

Summary

My trash can are all full to the brim with ick, and I have no strength to take them out.

I told myself if I’m not better by morning I’ll take myself to an urgent care ($$!) but I think if I can keep holding down water, I’ll be okay.

Up from naptime. Having sausage jambalaya and a Manhattan, and watching some hockey.

Ouch.

At this rate, you’re gonna be hit with rent charges.

One of my co-workers swung by with a bottle of Pepto.
I also just took an edible, that claims to specifically help with nausea.

I have precious cargo in my tummy right now, so I’m sitting very still, not smoking so as not not cough, and hope like hell everything stays where it’s supposed to and medicates my poor innards.
