My gut feel for this one is that IS and Biotop are lying wolves. If I’m right, I’m still a Mason, so that may be wishful thinking. They’re both very good players, so it’s hard to tell.
Oh yeah!
Maybe it would make more sense to kill me, huh?
the 66% is dependent on the assumption that the rest of us are not werewolves (unlikely). Killing you still doesn’t make sense.
Do we really need to wait to Monday, or would a Friday vote be agreeable?
What’s the rush? **HookerChemical ** could turn this whole game upside down with his claim. Let’s wait and see.
I do think the game suffers from lack of movement. The face-to-face version takes literally 6 minutes to play: one minute for the night and 5 minutes of discussion so it’s like pringles.
What sort of claim do you figure HookerChemical could make that would turn the game upside down?
I, for one, don’t feel that I have enough information to make an informed vote. If **HookerChemical ** can help out that would certainly turn things around a bit for me.
Right, but looking at the evidence and data that we already have, what roles do you feel are still up in the air, and how might those claims turn things ‘upside down?’
Any of them.
This isn’t mafia and if you think of it like mafia, you will lose consistently.
We have already had confirmed lying several times in this game. I am just not sure we have outed all the lies. I am suspicious like that. But I have to go back to work now. Lunchtime at the mill is over.
Sorry, but no.
TexCat is confirmed as the robber unless she’s an idiot and made a ludicrous claim right out of the gate (which would also make me a wolf).
Biotop has claimed troublemaker, so he should obviously not be expecting that Hooker will claim that role.
The masons have both claimed and have more or less confirmed one another.
Mahaloth’s seer claim is about as close to being confirmed as we’ll get before the game is over.
So no, I don’t see how anything is set to be turned upside down. If you would like to correct me in a manner other than again reminding me that you’ve played this game before, I’m all ears.
Today is Wednesday. That must be Stickler’s lie.
If HookerChemical is a wolf, he will claim villager. How now, will you tell a wolf from a villager?
I won’t be able to, obviously. His EXPECTED claim is villager (or insomniac I suppose). So, again, how will that turn anything upside down?
It won’t and that’s kind of the issue. With everything locked down so quickly, there’s no great way to rattle anyone’s cages.
We sort of saw it with Mafia de Cuba, but our community is so used to not lying when playing “town” that what is ‘normal’ play for Inner Stickler isn’t quite normal here yet. Since most aren’t used to the game, the lying has been quite modest.
Also, like Mafia de Cuba, this game is one that can be partially puzzled out, and the rest is just random guess. We’ve done a good job (I think) in identifying 5 clearly non-wolves of 10 players. That’s pretty good. We have a strong suspicion that Inner Stickler is town and willing to take the kill to prove it. We have one player (Johnny Bravo) that is a random guess by game design.
That leaves 3 players with alignment unknown where we could conceivably target for a werewolf. That’s a pretty good job on our part and the rest of the game is a guess.
I haven’t played this game before, but I’m assuming that we aren’t supposed to be able to puzzle out the entire game. We are supposed to figure out part of it and have the guess from there. Which is where we are.
Am I missing something, other than HookerChemical?
What should we have done to rattle cages?
Which is the point I’ve been making. There is nothing more to deduce. There is** no reasonable claim** that HookerChemical can make that will change our current status quo. You are the only player with a clear chain of logic making you a wolf. You are not only the obvious choice, but the only choice. If you’re indeed the hunter, then you’re going to have to pick randomly from a pool of other potential wolves.
This is a game meant to be played quickly. There’s zero reason to drag this out like a game of mafia because, as you’ve helpfully pointed out, this is not mafia.
Mental Guy,
Can you give Hooker a prod please?
I don’t disagree with voting for Inner now, but I just hate to do it missing a player. Hooker still might claim Seer.
