I’ve worked in the Orange and Seminole County public library systems (the two counties north of Osceola) and enjoyed them both. The main Osceola library in downtown Kissimmee is pretty new and nice, but I don’t get down there very much anymore.
Damn, I wish I could get down there in time for that, but I’m stuck in Ohio until the end of July at least. le sigh Perhaps in the fall, there might be another FloriDope?

Thanks for the tip. I may have to just drive down to these places in person (dressed nicely, of course) and see if there are any part time jobs that they’re just not listing through the county website. I’m hoping that I don’t have to drive too far to get to work, as, well, 30 minutes is a long drive for me and a lot of gas.
I’m still on the fence on this one. I live down in Fort Myers and that’s about four hours each way.

May 18th works best for me as I have to be in Orlando for my Jeopardy! audition.
May 19th might also be okay, if I spend the night out there, but I’m not keen on venturing to Orlando twice in a couple of days so May 20th is probably out for me.

So, I am going to cut the mustard and propose the time/place for the Orlando 2007 Dopefest to be May 19th, a saturday, at 1PM. Lunch, (place unknown), followed by dinner and/or boozing.

Seems to me you’d want *either * spouse or SO - having both could be awkward…
