Paris Hilton - Out of jail after 3 days???

So, is there a pool on when her next DUI will be?

MSNBC is breaking a story that she’s been released.

Keep your children off the streets.
Yes, but she’s wearing an ankle bracelet and isn’t “allowed” to leave her house. Yea, sure. She wasn’t supposed to be driving either.

She needs to get a real life. And quit being important/famous because she’s an heiress.

So, an open admission that our justice system is broken and you can whine your way out of jail if only you are rich enough. Didn’t we have a thread a couple of days ago on what happens to most prisoners who don’t eat? They get feeding tubes, right?

It’s very depressing to think of what a travesty this is, and how all my worst thoughts about the condition of our government are completely confirmed.
Relax, it’s not like she head-butted Jesus or anything. Let’s not forget she was locked up for a traffic violation. As I understand, many similar offenders in California spend a fraction of their sentences in the slammer. Would anyone in the thread who thinks this is a failure of the justice system support the doubling or tripling of jail capacity in order to make sure everyone does their full time? I sure as hell don’t want to pay for that for non-violent criminals.

Did the creators of this board know just how perfect the  smilie would be for this situation?

It’s things like this that cause Marxism.
I’m guessing that with the kind of lifestyle she’s accustomed to, this had to hit pretty hard.
Yeah, that’s the drawback to being a filthy rich, spoiled jet-setter whose every whim in life is indulged: if you’re ever forced to spend a couple of days living like a “little person,” it really stings!

If the court system thought it wasn’t worth force feeding her to end her hunger strike then they should have changed the terms of her jail sentence not abolished it. Let her stay out on probation and eat Monday through Friday and lock her up every weekend (eating or fasting) until she’s completed a total of forty five days.

Why bother with force feeding? Let the bitch starve.

That’s impossible… She’ll just find another source of protien.

:o

Legally speaking, the jail has assumed the responsibility for Hilton’s care and well-being. They can’t knowingly let her harm herself if they are able to prevent it.

Huh. I didn’t know you could tube Paris. I thought you could tube London, or metro Paris.
Dude, you didn’t see the tape?
Oh, come on. OJ isn’t white.
Yeah, but he was rich enough to fool 'em.

A lot of people that get DUI’s end up doing little or no time at all. A friend of mine got 2 of them in the space of a few months, and one even involved a wreck, though he hit a tree. My friend never did any time or community service. This friend is pretty well off so his parents paid all the fines. He told me how all the other people who couldn’t afford to pay the fines were sent to jail.

It seems to me that OJ is just about as white as any black man could possibly be.

Oh c’mon, you ever heard of Wayne Brady?

The TMZ.com says this:

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Paris Hilton’s medical condition was purely psychological and that she was in peril of having a nervous breakdown, and that’s why she was released early this morning.

I think I figured out the solution to prison overcrowding - everyone who finds it’s impacting them in a psychologically negative way is free to go!

What’s so funny about this is when Brady was on Chappelle’s show, in a skit showing how urban and down and bad-ass he was. It was hilarious.

I reject half this assessment on the basis it contains the term “logical” and is applied to Paris Hilton..
