Paris Hilton - Out of jail after 3 days???

Refuse to eat in a fit of pique? Cry all day and all night like the spoiled child she is? This is not considered ‘good behavior’ when considering time spent.

JUDGE SCREWS PARIS HILTON

I’ve just found out I’ve been using parol when I should be using probation. Sorry.

She did show good behavior before. Now, I think she is pefectly within her right to pitch a royal fit and bring anything and everything her money and her family’s power can bring to bear on her behalf. If she has the clout to ruin the asshole judge, I say good on her. Personally, had I been placed in this situation, I would have jumped on my personal helicopter, flown out to my personal cruise ship, and never ventured into the territorial waters of this country ever again. Screw that guy.

She is a celebrity with no talent – just a reputation for being a spoiled brat, putting out porn, driving drunk and ignoring probation terms.

All she is doing today is continuing to be a celebrity with no talent.

No sympathy here.

If I were in jail I’d cry all the time too, even if I deserved it. It’s not exactly supposed to be a pleasant experience and I don’t think it’s a stretch to guess at why she was so upset.

Further, maybe she was so upset she didn’t want to eat. I’m sure we’ve all had ourselves so worked up over something that we haven’t eaten.

Look, you can attack her for a lot of things, but attacking her for being upset that she’s in jail is just silly. Any sane person would be incredibly upset if they were thrown in jail, even if they did do the crime. Maybe she was sobbing because she realized what a mistake she made. Or maybe she was just sobbing because she hates bologna sandwiches. Either way, being shaken up while being in jail isn’t that rare of a thing, I’d imagine.

Technically, the judge didn’t even give her the chance to come in on her own this morning. He sent the sheriff to bring her in IN CUFFS. She went out of the way to show that she is cooperative before but now she isn’t given the chance to demonstrate it again? This judge is quite an ass.

You realize she was planning a party, right? The reporters were interviewing the delivery guys bringing chairs and food.

Like I said in the other thread, whiny, crying children do not make me feel sorry. They irritate me.

WTF is wrong with planning a party? I don’t understand where you are going with that. Has party planning been criminalized in California now? If I was in jail and got out early, I might plan a party too.

Let’s throw your ass in the LA County Jail and see how whiny you get.

Plus she can’t go anywhere and I’m sure she was getting tons of calls from friends who wanted to see her.

I sympathize with her. I hate it when I’ve rolled three doubles in a row

Perhaps the thinking was that these oh-so-horrible medical conditions were just Paris Playing Possum, because they certainly didn’t seem to be impeding her the minute she was released.

So what?

I don’t know how much truth there is to her not being really ill, because apparently those around her in the court room said she was not looking so hot- even for someone facing a jail sentence.

Sure, but do you think your non-rich non-famous ass would get let out of jail early because you were sad and you weren’t eating?

I do some work in jails. Nobody gives a shit if you’re sad, and nobody gives a shit if you’re not eating.

-Joe

In fairness, no one knows for sure what the exact “medical reason” she was let out for was. It’s speculated that it was because she wasn’t eating, but no one actually knows.

No, I don’t think you should get out of jail because you are sad and not eating, but I do think that once the sheriff releases you, early or not, the fecking judge has no business butting in and sending you back to the slammer. The judge in this case is the one acting like a petulant child, not Paris.

Then you do not believe in the American penal system. The judge sets the rules, not the Sheriff. Which is why Sheriff Baca should be doing some of Paris’ time, if things were really fair.

That can’t good.

**Parols ** are Christmas ornaments from the Philippines. . . .

There are apparently separation-of-powers struggles going on here, which I do not presume to understand. Judicial branch imposes a sentence; executive branch carries it out if they find it convenient. Independent of Paris Hilton’s case, I’m gathering that this is common practice.

The sheriff did not release her, which it appears is routinely done without much comment from the courts. He changed the location of her confinement to one specifically prohibited by the sentencing order.

Does that distinction matter legally?
