Aww MBG you’re not crazy. The meds just help keep things all regulated. It’s no more crazier than takin’ meds to control high blood pressure. Now stop all that crazy talk, young man!
So…I shouldn’t be fighting Cuervo for his kibbles?
You have to *fight * Cuervo for his kibble? What are you, a man or a mouse??
::Squeak::
I let him win. You ever taste those things?
I’m running off with la Esposa to grab some human grub.
Something deep fried, bad for me with a side of beer.
I’ve never tasted kitty kibble, but I know certain brands of it stain the carpet red when horked up. ick.
Yay! It’s official – I have been kicked outta therapy. They said they had a waiting list to get into the knee/hip group, so I suggested they could give me my final test (going down and back up a double flight of stairs) and make room for someone else. So they did, I trotted down and back up the stairs no problem, so the told me to go way and not come back! So I can have my life back again. Whew! Going to therapy for two hours three days a week was really starting to get on my nerves since the exercises didn’t even take any effort any more.
So I came home and finished up that job that needed to be in by 2 pm today, and then I went and lounged with my feet up and watched TV all afternoon. It was a very nice way to spend a day.
Ellen, I’m sorry to hear about your brother! I’m just glad nobody was hurt. But losing all your stuff is hard even if it’s not valuable stuff. I know too many people who have (thanks, Katrina), and it takes a while to deal with it, obviously.
Okay, the weather has gone freaking NUTS. We’re under a SNOW advisory tonight. There shouldn’t be any accumulation, but it is APRIL! It is SPRING! Come on, Mother Nature, take pity on us, for heaven’s sake!
Our area is threatened with 2-4" of snow tonight!!! Anyone wanna join me in singing I’m Dreaming of a White Easter??
Stoopit snow.
Hey all,
I stopped reading the MMP for about a week and a half (for no reason) and my motivation and inspiration plummeted. Coincidence? I don’t think so. As I said before, you guys inspire me. When I grow up, I want to be like the collective bunch of you.
Sending some of this wonderful sunshine over to the ones experiencing the cold weather still. It’s totally beautiful outside today.
And MBG, you’re the good kind of crazy, right?
Happy Good Friday everyone!
It’s just after 1am here, we’re into our third bottle of champagne and it seems like an appropriate time to remind you lot how much I love you, each and every one.
And Swampy, it’s not me that spells things funny, we did it first!
Yep, I agree. Y’all spelled things all funny first.
Wait, wait!! I wasn’t drinking when I said mine (since I don’t drink). Then again I didn’t say I loved all of you. . . individually.
OK, just wanted to clear that up. Carry on.
The tailgate went well, and I met some of the Canes board people in meatspace. Of course we lost( Happy SCL?
) I had a dream last night. I had a team signed jersey, somebody spilled something on it, and all the signatures ran.   I think I am going to have a couple more , and tell you all how much I lov u.
MBG, as long as you don’t see the voices, you should be alright with drugs and shrinkage.
BionicTigs, glad you got kicked out of PT.
Heff, I hope you learned a valuable lesson about neglecting the important things in life.
Wow…we’re busy again today!
I’m so sorry to hear about your brother, Ellen. I’m glad that everyone is safe, but that must have been a major shock.
What? You have no snow, Puggy? And here I ordered some especially for you!
It’s reassuring that you’re letting Cuervo win the kibble competition, MBG. Otherwise we might think you were, hmmmmm, what’s a delicate word for it…wacko.
So what unhealthy grub did you have for din-din?
Hef, glad you figured out that reading and posting to the MMP is required. We’ll expect perfect attendance in the future.
I’d like to know everything about grouting shower pans, FCM. And, yes, aren’t grades an odd thing? Especially for art classes. Hey, as long as you’re learning what you want to learn, try to ignore it.
There was more, but I’m falling asleep, so I guess I’ll crawl into beddie-bye.

db, of course I’m not happy the 'Canes lost! I’m just unhappy I have no hockey left! Watching it on TV just doesn’t do much for me - I don’t watch TV much at all.
I did find out I get to see the guys at least one more time; there is a player/sponsor party this Tuesday night. I got the pictures I had ordered for Connor’s scrapbook so I should have it finished by then.
I got my jersey, and the picture taken of Connor and I after the auction. All of the merchandise was on sale so I got a lovely soft fleece blanket with the Snakes logo on it; just the thing for snuggling under while reading - and for road trips next season. I also talked three new people into joining the booster club.
I need chocolate and I don’t think there is any in the house. What a shame.
i luv u alll! kin i havs anoter brewski?
SCL, I have that dream all the time except I call mine a nightmare and fortunately or unfortunately, no drugs here.
db and gt, consider me spanked. Lesson learning.
Hi everyone! I’ve missed you and you can consider yourselves gathered up in a big hug from me just 'cause.
Ellen, I’m so sorry to read about what happened to your brother. As others have already mentioned, I am so glad that neither he nor the kids were there to get hurt.
It’s been a nutso workweek again. Projects! Projects! Projects! I’m sick to death of them. I guess I shouldn’t complain too loudly; I know I’m lucky to have a job.
Drae, I’m sorry see that you and the roomie are having such a rough go of it. I hope things improve quickly and that you find a job you like that pays a decent wage.
Swampy, I’m also sending best wishes to you in hopes that this interview and the results from it turn out to be “the perfect one”. I still think you ought to move up here.
It was 83 degree here today. 83! I couldn’t believe it. Believe it or not, we started off with snow here on Monday.
Tomorrow is supposed to be nice, but not as nice as today was. We will be working in our poor neglected yard tomorrow. We’re also going to purchase a new propane tank for our grill. The one we have has seen better days and we just don’t trust it anymore. We’re also going to start ripping out our poor excuse for a back lawn. When they laid the sod, the didn’t put enough topsoil down. So, now I’ve got lots of bare patches, and the patches that aren’t bare are nothing but freakin’ dandilions with a little bit of grass mixed in. On top of that, the damn netting that held the sod is exposed too.
Our evil plan is to rip out portions of the yard at a time and re-do it. We’ll do it in sections so that the dog can continue to use the remainder of the yard to do his business. Once everything is done, I’m going to TRY and get him to use the back corner for his business. I probably won’t succeed, but I’ll try.
I guess I should go now, I’m very tired.
MBG, I’m glad you went and saw the doc. I hope the upcoming appointment will at least get you started on the road to feeling a little better. It takes time; don’t become discouraged.
MWAH* Miss you all.
‘mornin’ all
Ellen - I’m sorry about your brother’s loss of stuff, but glad it was only stuff and not him.
My back is behaving itself, so far. I ran a few errands yesterday, including getting my hair done. The nice thing is, my stylist said he’d come up to the hospital and bring my favorite manicurist with him while I’m in rehab.
Since I only skimmed, I offer hugs, sympathy, etc where applicable.
Off for a few more hours sleep before today’s errands.
Wow, that’s really nice of your stylist, rosie! I’m sure that’ll help keep your spirits up and keep you rehabbing. Oh, and please note that BioTigs has set the bar rather high, getting kicked out of rehab before her time. We expect no less from you.
And big congrats to BT. I never knew you could get kicked out of rehab. And yay! on the no pain, which I also missed a ways back.
Hey doggio! Are ya up yet? Just curious.
Hi Taters! I was wondering where you were… I want to do something similar with my lawn, once I figure out exactly how much lawn I’m actually going to leave.
Deciding what to do today. I have to go in to work and need to clean up around here and also figure out what we’re eating tomorrow. Dinner is being transported to the baby brother’s crib
because he and his kids have been traveling all week. There’s more, but I forget what.
Guess I’ll finish breakfast and decide what’s going on. Happy Saturday!!!
GT
Mornin’ y’all! It’s brrrrrr here! Temp is only 40 degrees! With a high of 58! The low tomorrow mornin’ is predicted to hit around 32! I fear the apocalypse is upon us!
Of course, I have to be at church by six a.m. for Easter Vigil cause I get to be a lay reader. Then again, I will have been all right and properly churched by eight a.m. and can come home and snooze a bit before goin’ to Easter lunch at one, so there’s that. I have to make some deviled eggs to take tomorrow. That is the sum total of what I have planned for today. Make deviled eggs. Life is so hard sometimes.
-swampbear (trying for the record for the number of times  is used in one post)
