I voted #1, but with huge reservations. If forced to choose between them exactly as presented, my vote would be Fuggeddaboudit!
Agree w both of you. Get rid of the sweet and you’ve got the makings of a good sandwich.
The only “sesame seed buns” I know of are hamburger buns, which are uniformly garbage bread. Throw that crap away and build it open face on a slice of sourdough or crunchy hard-crust French baguette & I’m all in.
I voted “no thanks” for the reasons I already mentioned, but I suppose I could take Sandwich 1 and remove the pineapple. But that also might be fighting the hypothetical.
No. 2, hold the roast beef. It’s not kosher, and also completely unnecessary. Spicy pickled peppers and cream cheese are more than enough for a sandwich.
Ditto. I don’t do spicy, and don’t especially like sweet stuff on my meat. Honestly, I’d probably just go hungry rather than eat either of those, even attempting to pick them apart.
I don’t eat meat and am not a big fan of cream cheese other than on bagels. #1 without the ham sounds like something I would be interested in trying though – BIG fan of the pineapple/chili combo.
Combine these two, and that’s my feelings. I’d get #2, and figure worst case scenario, I’d peel the meat out of the sandwich and eat that. I’ve done similar things with mayo-encrusted sandwiches served at work events, as it was better than eating nothing.
Lacking real hunger though, it would be a polite no to both as fully constructed.
