I know plenty of real doctors who are idiots, and a PhD really doesn’t buy you any more respect around these parts. We like to judge people by their words and not simply by what papers you have earned. Although if there is a math question up for answer we may defer to a specialist.

I don’t see any anger, righteous or otherwise. And certainly no one is pursuing you. People are responding to you, with considerable disdain, on an internet discussion board. If you consider negative responses to be anger, stalking, mansults (dear God), etc., you’re probably best off avoiding the internet entirely.

Why does your crystal ball have a hard on for PhDs, and is it specific to Doctors of Math? I think it would do much better work if it didn’t use such irrational ways of judging whom to respect.
You can’t swing a cat around here without hitting three or four PhDs. This causes us to be a little less impressed with someone claiming to have any advanced degree.

Yes, really, by now it’s becoming a plague of people claiming persecution and hate when their proposition does not get a favorable response, or when the other posters do not at least affect a false pretense of equivalence. Be it sex, gender identity, race, religion, nationality, ideology, class. They just don’t get it, they truly believe it’s all just a matter of playing a “victim card” and they should be equally entitled to draw it.
