Happy Caturday, Mumpers!
Mork - the exit interview is supposed to be your last chance to be brutally honest about the job, the people, the company, anything you want. The main thing is that they’re supposed to take away any negative comments (particularly those pointed towards management practices, company policies that are pointless etc) and see if there’s anything they can do about that so the person who takes over the job won’t run into the same brick walls.
So today I ventured into the Pit and joined in the mini-rants. I’ve got an apartment rental in Hungary next month which has been paid for via a company called moneybookers. They have a simple enough process - you set up an account, register the bank account/credit/debit card you’re using, upload funds from there to moneybookers and then pass them on to another moneybookers account holder.
Setting up the account was easy, I registered one bank account with them and nothing else. I uploaded funds for the deposit payment on the apartment. Moneybookers couldn’t find it. I swapped several emails with their customer services section and eventually had to send them a .jpg of a bank statement showing the withdrawal from my personal account. That sorted the problem out.
So now I go back to moneybookers to upload the balance payment for the apartment, again from the same account. Can I remind you this is the only account I registered to use with them, it is in my name and the moneybookers account is in my name.
I wait a couple of days for the transaction to go through - money’s left my bank account, and sure enough it turns up in my moneybookers account. Except that it hasn’t all turned up. I have a half-page long warning message in bright red text telling me that I’ve been fined for using a 3rd party account for payment. WTF?
I sent a message to them saying that I’d used my personal account to send funds and asked them to refund the charge and remove the warning - they’ve just been in touch to say that it’s a fine for using a 3rd party account. And they called me Mr.
I have Teh Grrrrr.
(((((Mumpers))))) - I think we could all use a hug and I haven’t had time to read everyone’s postings yet…
(Hubby was on “civil unrest” duty overnight again, until 6am so no relief from him). I finally gave up and took her over to MIL’s place. I was tearing my hair out and was no use to HRH, but lo’ as soon as we got there, HRH laid eyes on the housemaid and was happy as that proverbial Larry guy! I give up - whose dumb idea was it for me to be a mother? :smack: Ohhhh, that’s right - it was ME! Gaaahhhhhhh!!! I love her to bits, but a tired, sick mother and a grumpy, sick toddler are not a happy combination.
