Prayers/good thoughts please.....

Oh, Falcon, my dear. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Is there anything else I can do for you? You have only to ask.

{{{{{{Falcon}}}}}}

Poor Falcon! I’ll be thinkin’ of ya.

Prayers are being sent. My father had his second bypass surgery about two years ago. He has numerous other medical problems, and even had some postsurgery complications, yet when I went to visit him less than 24 hours outta the ICU, his doctor told me to take him home. (Personally, I woulda preferred he stayed for a few more days and asked if I could take the doctor’s temperature first.) Anyway, my point is the same as the one others have already made: medical science is absolutely amazing. Know that things very likely will be just fine. Read up on it, and become an “expert” so you can be his advocate.

More prayers heading your way, Falcon, for his speedy and complete recovery.

Here’s hoping for your grandad’s speedy recovery, Falcon; and I hope the next week isn’t too rough on you, either.

My prayers going out to you and your family.

Falcon, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Good luck to you, your grandfather, and the rest of your family, Falcon.

Prayers & best wishes for you both, of course.

I’ll keep you in my thoughts, Falcon. I’ve been going through some crappy times right now with my dad’s medical condition so I feel for you very strongly right now. Hang in there.

((((Falcon))))

Falcon, I hope your grandfather has a safe and uneventful surgery. My thoughts are with you and your family. And I hope the next many weeks will be easy ones for you. Take care of yourself (I really do think this is important).

Lisa

I’m very sorry to hear about that, Falcon. My prayers are with both you and your grandfather.

I’m hoping for the best and if you can still make Dallas there will be some real life hugs for you soon.

Jim

Lots of Warm Fuzzy thoughts coming your way Falc.

All the best hon.

Thanks to everyone. My mother called tonight…they’ve NOW determined that it wasn’t a small heartattack, it was a major one. So he can’t get the surgery until Monday, because it has to be 7 days afterwards. sigh

But he’s in a good hospital, he’s an otherwise healthy 80 year old, and he’ll make it. Right? Mainly, they’re concerned about my grandma…she can’t drive anywhere, so someone has to be there to take her to get groceries and such. Aside from that, they’ll be okay.

I’m still just tired of it all…they’ve been through so much… sigh

JimB, I am most definitely still coming to Dallas. And I will accept any and all hugs given.

God bless, I hope everything turns out ok.

Thinking of you and your family, Falcon. It’s not easy to go through something like this.

The most frustrating thing of all is having to just sit here and read this and not to be able to DO anything. What you really need is not pixels arranged into the form of a stylized hug; what you NEED is somebody to come over to your house and wash the dishes for you, so you can spend time at the hospital. Also, somebody to chauffeur your grandma around. I’d do it, if I were there.

Failing that–INCOMING!
[averts head in embarrassment, not really the “huggy” type]

Boy, that’s weird, hugging a duck hawk. The things I do for the SDMB…

P.S. I know somebody else’s grandmother who went in for a checkup a couple of months ago, ended up getting a surprise quintuple bypass the next day, and was back home running the Gifts & Shower Committee the next week.

And I will pray for you and your family. (You did ask for them, in the OP?)

Falcon - I hope things turn out well for all involved. I’m thinking of you guys.

Peace be with you all.
