I figure she’s a lock for this year’s Joseph Goebbels Award for Media Relations. We haven’t seen such a strong candidate since Iraqi State Information Minister Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf.

Sanders would like to be remembered as “transparent and honest”:
Dear Sarah,
It will not be that. It will not be anything like that. You didn’t even manage “showed up every day”. You were not even in the same solar system as “transparent and honest”. And America is worse off for your efforts.
Regards,
Reality
That’s like saying “Somebody has to cook the books for the Mob.”
Nobody has to lie day in and day out to the American Public in an effort to provide cover for their crooked, incompetent boss.
I’d like a yacht.
Neither will happen because neither she nor I ever actively worked towards our respective goals.
Allow me.
The policies of the Trump administration are to manipulate the resources of the United States government in ways that benefit Donald Trump. The primary limits on how much Trump will consume are his incompetence and laziness. Other members of the administration feed off the scraps that Trump doesn’t use.
Sarah Sanders did not seek to explain this as clearly as possible. She did the opposite and worked on concealing this as much as possible.
I will agree that trying to hide how terrible Donald Trump is at being President is hard job. But it’s not a vital one. Sanders volunteered to do it because that was the scrap she was able to grab on to.
Maybe Sarah’s tongue has finally turned black.
You’re all thinking “orange” and I’d just like to remind you all that you’re better than that!
Orange is the new black.
Sanders supposedly went 94 days without holding a press briefing. I don’t think her job was easy, and perhaps she deserves some credit for gumption and chutzpah. But if she hopes to be remembered as fair and transparent than perhaps she should have acted more fairly and with more transparency. I wouldn’t want to be a press secretary, much less focus on a one-person audience.
Now that she’s left the administration, will they let her back into the Red Hen?
Arkansas is stupid enough and racist enough to elect her. I pity the resident exceptions to that particular rule.
She had the easiest job in the world.
I could see how it would be hard if you think she had to make sense of the many contradictory statements that came out of the administration. However, she never made an attempt. It was just blatant lie after blatant lie and fuck you for questioning it.
I could walk out on stage and say the sky is green and if you disagree you’re shameful. That’s not remotely difficult.
Factually speaking, it would be a demotion for Conway.
Happily, Kellyanne Crimewave may also find herself looking for work soon.
There is a great article now at www.theatlantic.com on “The Genius of Sarah Huckabee Sanders”. Well worth a look.

Well, if there had been a White House spokesman/woman who really told the truth, they’d be fired within hours or days, and we’d be at Spokesperson No. 700 by now. Would be kind of chaotic.

It’s already chaotic. Telling the truth would at least be doing a service to the American people, rather than a service to corruption and immoral power.

I would, but someone failed to link to the article and there are two Sanders-articles at The Atlantic I can find from this week, neither of which has that title.
Which might possibly be because it’s a Slate article.
I hope that Sarah Huckabee Sanders will draw on her sincere religious convictions and spend the rest of her life helping people in need, in a desperate attempt to save herself from going to Hell.

What happened to just saying she knows she’s been forgiven by God?
That’s always worked before.
