Scheduling the MMP

Part 1 --------- ya gotta point.

Part 2 ---------- wait – are we talking the Old Wench? I will refrain from voting in case she lurks around here this week.

Now on the other hand some of us would --------

Today was our last day of having what we call cross-dock ------ shipping stuff to USPS facilities in New York for distribution to their areas. We had Cleveland at one point as well. Cleveland got their own center last fall and Rochester/Buffalo gets one now as well. Volume will be a little lighter for a while but since we were only getting say 20-25% of what was available (the rest going Fed-Ex or UPS) they will go back to slamming us shortly. But that is the future; right now its PACKING FOR INDIANA!!!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. Home hockey game after work.

Enjoy Indiana, Ruble.

Leftover pizza for breakfast - can my day possibly get any better???

With luck, tonight will be the last time I have to check the jury duty website. There were no trials yesterday or today and since the jury changes after Firday, I doubt anyone will be called in then, just in case things run long. So I think it’s all good. We shall see…

Meanwhile, much to do. May this day go fast!!

Happy Wednesday!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 71 Amurrkin out and cloudyish with a predicted high of 90 and mostly N.O.S. except for a stray afternoon tstorm. We shall see. It’s geezer day at the Pubic sto’ so I shall lay in provisions. I shall obtain shrimpies and make shrimp ‘n grits for dindin. It was so good last time I’ve decided it should show up amongst the rotation. I’m thinkin’ some steamed broccoli will go well as vegetative matter. Easy-peasy dindin!

Butters has the Navy said it’s OK to drive home? Can you get to your place? If you can go and find a vehicle I say go with or without her.

And now this…

<AHEM> CLEARIN’ THROAT <AHEM>

HAAAPPPYYY BIIIRRRTTTHHHDDDAAAYYY TOOOOOO YOUUUUUU!!!
HAAAPPPYYY BIIIRRRTTTHHHDDDAAAYYY TOOOOOO YOUUUUUU!!!

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then purtification must commence if’n I am to go about the public at the Pubic Sto’.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Happy Butters Day!!!

The hell is with those guy’s noses, are they on Star Trek?

One of those guys surely resembles Frank Dillane.

Shirtless Guy was wearing a shirt last night. Haha. :stuck_out_tongue:

Rehearsal tonight!

Yeah – that!

Hey, just be glad its Shirtless Guy and not something else There is a reason the neighborhood used to refer to my late-former-neighbor as Naked Earl. :smack:

Ruble; nothing wrong with being naked around the house…long as the windows are shuttered…

Happy B-Day Butters. May your travels be safe and you hubby happy to see you.

Bills for the month are now paid. Need to toast me a half a loaf of raisin bread to celebrate.

Off to my interview. I decided that since I’ll be in Tourist Trap anyway I’ll stop by the used bookstore and trade in the stack of unwanted books in my closet.

Hi, pardon my intrusion into this sacred space.

I think there may be a lot of people who were around 11 years ago, today, who would remember all that went on. Rather not make a general thread so I hope it doesn’t bother people that I mention it here, where there are those who may kindly remember Pough-chan.

Cheers

Happy Butter’s Day!

Otherwise, blurf.

Sacred space?? Sorry to disillusion you, but if it were a truly sacred space, people would use coasters and keep their dirty shoes off the furniture… If you can’t wander in here, we might just as well close up shop.

Lunch break!! Spousal unit came by to see if I wanted to go to lunch with him, but I’d already unsealed my salad, so, nope. Bummer.

On the plus side, he won’t have to work stupid late tonight since the tests he was supposed to monitor were postponed. (Not school-type tests - they’re tests of some tracking buoys he designed.) Anyway, he’ll be home normal time - huzzah!!

Very bizzy morning, very bizzy afternoon to follow. My day is zipping by!!

Howdy Y’all! I went geezer shoppin’, came back to da cave to store perishables, and then went to :eek:WallyJr:eek: and Ferd’s. I feel all kinds of provisioned now.

TokyoBayer I do remember Pough-chan. No matter how long ago, I’m sure it still hurts. May you have continued healing and may Pough-chan always be remembered. BTW you are never intrudin’ up in here. You posted so now you are one of us.

TB my condolences on your day of remembrance.

Annie I’m glad dinner went well. A new friend is a good thing.

Butters Good luck with your drive home. May your path be smooth. And…

Happy Birthday!!

Ruble have fun in Indiana!

Wow, we’re a busy bunch today. I must off to chase the older child who has not yet emerged from her room and is now late for school. I think I dislike the school year more than the kids. :smack:

Interview went well, at least in my head. Used book store only took two of my five books, but I found two I was looking for so yay. Now it’s time to hydrate before I take the mower to the hilly part of the yard.

I think I’ve got a little, teensy, extremely itchy patch of poison ivy on my left arm. It’s in a place where it’s hard for me to see, but it feels like the evil rash.

Boss came in my office an hour before quit time and dumped a hot task on my desk. Well, not on-fire-hot - he wants it tomorrow. I’d have stayed tonight if necessary, but he said tomorrow is OK. I got about half of it done already. Go me!

MIL had a scare - she found a lump in a breast, and there’s a history of breast cancer in her family. But it turned out to be benign, so they’re just going to watch it for now. So that’s a relief.

Ribs in the convection oven warming for supper. Shortly, we’ll go get the Sonata from the car guys. And **FCD **talked to our daughter - they’re leaning towards moving back here. Fingers crossed…

Interview went well outside of my head too. The temp agency called and offered me the position doing medical scheduling. I took it because I need work and it seems interesting but I told the recruiter that I would prefer the insurance verification position I interviewed for last week. Those people haven’t made a decision yet. Hop to! Snoozers are losers and coffee is for closers!

No trials Thurs of Fri - my jury duty is over. YAY!!!
