When I say the link I was like “hey, I’ve seen that thread recently!” After I clicked, I wondered why no thread popped up. 
A toss-up for me:
Is there any reason why sperm would be bad for my fish?, General Questions, OP Godska, started 6 Apr, 2004.
The “Well?” was sheer artistry.
However, the ongoing Would you shoot your child and kill your child in this situation?, Great Debates, OP Kel Varnsen - Latex Division, started 2 Dec 2004 is surreal in its development.
Another vote for the semen/fish thread. That was the first thread I thought of when I saw the title of this thread. For my money, that wins hands down. Or fins down. Or pants down. Or something.
I like that thread where that one guy got all mad and started flaming everyone and then he got banned.
Too lazy to look it up, but “WOO! I am masturbating like a mother fuck!” deserves mention just for the title.
This thread, for without it I would have never seen the semen one.
I was just looking for a pit thread I particularly liked (still looking, I’ll come back if I do find it) and found this: Logic is meaningless
It just sounds so… deep. Not that I’ve read it or anything. Anyway, how about we try to get separate nominations for each forum, or maybe “funniest,” “most important,” “most surreal,” etc. Something like that…

It was funnier at the time than it is now, but I still like it. Ignore my other link, it’s from 2002. I just really liked that title and posted it quite hastily.

I’d like to nominate HelenTroy’s Tomorrow may mark the end of my marriage. not exactly sidesplittingly funny, but it shows the SDMB community pulling together to support a member in a bad situation. This is what makes us a community, folks, not just a message board.
I’d missed that one before but it was entirely worth reading if only for Rufus Xavier’s post at the bottom of page 4 and the OP’s response to it.
