I just e-mailed all of your Secret Santas and asked them to please verify they shipped and if so, when. I know at least two of the giftees are getting gifts from overseas, so it may just be taking a super looooong time.

That is a lovely sentiment! If you don’t mind hanging on to it, say until Monday, it would be very lovely if you would be willing to send it to some other poor Doper who hasn’t gotten one. But i would like to give them at least a couple of days to respond. As I said, perhaps the overseas ones are just wandering around Europe or some such.
Please, save if for someone who may not have received a gift… certainly don’t want anyone left out of the gift exchange. I appreciate the fact you were willing to re-send if I didn’t receive it, though.
And of course thanks to Anaamika for putting this whole thing together and keeping it going!
According to the USPS and the tracking number, phouka “should” have received her gift … yesterday!
The “Priority Mail” shipment took a week to get there.
That’s really prioritized !

Ugh, I just looked up the timelines for international surface parcel. 4-6 weeks! I really hope those are the most conservative estimates. 
I don’t mind at all. I just checked my e-mail, and here are my updates:
minionkat’s package was sent. Trying to find out when or if there is a tracking number.
hocow’s gift has not been sent at all. It is supposed to be sent on Monday (tomorrow). Hang on there, hocow.
Atomic Mama’s gift was sent on Dec. 20, and the sender is going to check on the status.
Further updates to follow.
If mine is coming from overseas, I’ll quit whining and wait patiently. 
My gift from ChickaPicosa included, but was not limited to, kick-ass popcorn, a hand painted Christmas ball, A BOX OF BEADS!
My family LOOOOVED the popcorn and now I must find it here. Beads, boxes and food-- all of my favorite things!

Yup, you guessed it – still giftless here sad …
Unfortunate that this has happened, and unfortunately it’s the nature of these things and is the risk we all took when choosing to participate. It’s sad when people commit to this then flake on that commitment without so much as an explanation.
There’s still time for those who have flaked to make good. Include a note of apology to your giftee, it doesn’t have to be publicly known - the apology is just between you and your giftee.
Otherwise, some of the rest of us here might assume you’re a flake.
I have not followed this thread closely since I posted the last “gift chain” - some may have valid reasons why their gift hasn’t arrived yet. It looks like minionkat is in that group and not on the “flake list.” Ican’t speak to the others, and I’m not keeping score. (not this time, anyway)
If we do this again next Christmas (and I for one would like to) it would behoove us to identify the flakes and bar them from signing up again. My take on this, anyway.
Thanks again to Anaamika for coordinating this and going above and beyond the call of duty when people flaked.
I DO AGREE with the above post. Even though my gift has not arrived (maybe it’s International :eek: ) and I had my own hassles with the post office, I always enjoy giving presents & hope they are enjoyed.

FWIW, I haven’t received anything either. But it’s OK! I imagine that, most likely, whoever had to send to me was sending from another country (I live in the Netherlands) and there is a non-zero chance that the package has been misplaced by the post (also, Christmastime insanity at the postal service – that is a very important factor to take into account!)
So far, as far as I can tell, there has been only two actual flakes. Everyone else has shipped, and the international shipping is just…I don’t know. Sending it to the moon, or something.
Those people who have not received yet, what shall we do now? It’s the middle of january! Shall we wait a bit longer or shall I try to line up alt Santas or what? I’m not really sure.
Let me go through my notes again and remind myself not only of who is missing but who has sent theirs and haven’t received, and maybe we can work something out.
Tell me if I got a flake or an international shipper. If I got a flake, I’ll just write it off and not worry about it. I’d feel really bad if someone else sent me something. If I got an international shipper, I will keep waiting and be surprised if and when it gets here.
