I’m 30 points behind RNATB. He still has Zueirlein and the Rams defense, I’ve got Montgomery, Chubb, and Allen Robinson. So I feel like a big underdog. But I’ll be annoyed if I end up starting 0-3 while scoring 140+ points this week, which is a perfectly respectable amount of points.
Omni has to make up a 60 point deficit with Trubiski, Cohen, Robert Woods, and the Chicago defense to beat Retro.
Dale’s winning streak comes to an end this week, which is too bad, he’s the underdog I’m rooting for this year.
Well, shit. Mayfield has to score a minimum 20 points to justify starting him next week, right? Daniel Jones just outscored Patrick Mahomes; I think I have to start him next week almost no matter what Mayfield does.
I have officially taken the lead in the Who Will Be Runner-Up to Hamlet Sweepstakes with a (surprisingly) hard-fought win over Beef. His 142 points is the eighth highest score recorded in the league this season (out of 36) so that’s a tough pill to swallow. In related news, I had the second-lowest winning score in Week 1 and the lowest in Week 2, but I’m the highest scorer other than Hamlet this week. I have to make hay while the sun shines because I have zero depth. I literally have no plausible backups or bye week replacements at RB or TE, and only one (Mecole Hardman) at WR, who may no longer be usable once Tyfreak returns.
Jordan Reed is still on the trade block. At this point I’ll take an RB4/5 for him.
Ugh, so frustrating that I can’t pick starters to save my life. 3rd most potential points on the season – legit 2nd tier behind Hamlet – but second to last in actual points. (Dead last on the EvE table.) That D+ is killing my team.
I see this trend of me having the lowest potential points and highest coaching grade is a trend that will continue all season. Suppose that’s to be expected when you only have like 10 good players to pick from and your entire bench isn’t getting playing time.
In that case, I’m starting Jameis Winston and Chris Godwin. They scored ~50 points more than the players I sat them for (to be fair to me, Godwin has been dealing with a hip injury and was a gametime decision).
Sorry for those that have sent me some trade request over the last two weeks and my lack of response. My wife has been in the hospital and between work and kids my life has been a complete cluster fuck. I’d see them and say to myself I’d should look at that, and than I’d completely forget.
With that, I may need to at least look at a partial rebuild. Any of my players (except Elliot) are up for grabs. I’d be looking for a return of combinations of draft picks and young talent.
I can’t believe how I squeaked by with a win this week despite putting up an abysmal number of points. Kinda the reverse of a couple years ago when I was racking up points but still losing. I’m quite happy of my record so far this year, and I’m loving all those 2020 draft picks I’ve got.
I don’t think I can bench his Charkness again. He’s been one of the best fantasy receivers this year and I benched him because I keep thinking of him as a fluke that’ll come back down. But he seems to be the real deal.
Seemed fine last week when I got back to .500 by beating him.
Seriously, though, Christian McCaffrey is the fucking man. I don’t know if 44.70 points in a game is a record or anything, but Jesus Christ that guy is carrying my team almost single-handedly.
