SDMB Photo Assignment 3: Photos Due March 1!

Maybe this is what the gay and lesbians was on about.

I must never, ever have mulitple windows open.

Sorry wrong thread.

Not to hijack the thread for my own purposes or anything, but those who are enjoying the duckies might be interested in another picture I took of them. Do not attempt to resist the rubber ducky armada!

wow! cool!

Does this count for "purple? If not, I’ll find someting else

These are important words to live by

Actually, within 5 minutes of my waking up, she’s in my face purring and pawing at the covers.

My choice is my little cousin at her 2nd birthday party

I’m a fan of aerial views too, they’re really interesting. That one is California – I took it on a flight home from LA.

Wow, I seriously hope that was digitally manipulated. If not, get thee to a vet!
And get us another one. This is fun.

I love photo threads!

[sub]Dislaimer: I am not a photographer, and all these pics were taken with my cell phone. Just so ya know.[/sub]

Whammo, 2 of your links don’t work - Flickr is asking for sign on codes

Great pics guys. One of the things I love about these is that, regardless of skill or camera quality, the best thing is seeing the different interpretations of the assignments.

OK, I’ve beeen watching these from afar; it’s time for me to jump in and post. I confess only one of these was taken specifically for this thread; I’ll change that in future threads. (By the way, I think this is an awesome idea.)

Here’s the color purple. (I shot that one on film, then accidentally scanned it too small.)

Some words I found.

Within five minutes of waking up, I see my wife cocooned in our bedroom.

My choice: The side of my house at night. No digital enhancing; those are the original colors.

This one makes me smile. There’s gotta be a story behind it, and I wanna know what it is.

Whammo, I wanna see your infrareds, but the link isn’t working. I’ve got a n Hoya R72 en-route since discovering that my little point and shoot (Pentax OptioWP) is very sensitive to IR.

Odd. I will check it out tonight after work.

lets try this again

Marge, thanks! that an Infrared Picture, it was in full daylight believe it or not. The IR filter filters out most of the visible light and lots of digital cameras will pic up the “near infrared” light that we cant see. Blue sky appears black or dark with clouds popping in white… greens are bright white which looks very cool for landscapes. It also gives what is called a “woody” feel or just kinda grainy. Wanna see amazing IR pics check out Hodges link in last months… thats what made me go buy a IR lens and experiment.

BTW MrFancyPants I feel snotty calling you that Thats the filter I have and yeah same info… check out Hodges link last month if you want the pro type IR… Myself I have some of my other IR pics on flickr if you wanna check it out.

Whammo
