Just checking some Poker Tweets tonight.
There is $250K Buy-in tournament just starting down in Australia. I guess the 250K is Aussie dollars, which I didn't realize, until just now was at ~par with the US.
Anyways, there were 20 entrants (2 of them were late) Notables: Seidel, Ferguson, Dwan, Benyamine, and Ivey.
Eric Seidel has already doubled up (within 30 minutes) when he had Aces against another players Kings. James Obst? just lost $250,000 in 30 minutes.
Antes/Blinds started at 500/1000/2000 and the starting chip stacks were at 250K.
Eric Seidel tweeted that he was relieved that there are no re-buys. :eek:
Forgot to mention that the levels are increasing every 30 minutes!! And there is a 30 second shot clock! which I guess that a player can go ‘in the tank’ for 5-10 minutes. That might put Tom Dwan at a disadvantage as he is a noted ‘slow’ player.
And Oslo, where are the standings! We have played 3 times!
