Woohoo! A box from purplehorseshoe arrived for my birthday, and I got it just when I was moping about not getting to do anything fun until tomorrow! Inside werethis lovely Texas horse ornament, who should fit right in here in the home of the Kentucky Derbythis beaded bracelet, and this knitted hat. What she doesn’t know is that I have crocheted a a million hats as Christmas presents recently, but haven’t had time to make one for myself. Finally, a hat of my own! Thank you, purplehorseshoe!
I finally got an update on the box I sent. It just cleared customs in Canada last night, so it may get there for Christmas after all!

Got my gifts from Twickster today, and it didn’t even occur to me to wait until Christmas to open them! Love, love, love the beautiful (homemade!) scarf - it’s practically a blanket! I’m wearing it right now, sitting on my couch! Thicker and wider and longer than any scarf I’ve ever owned, and perfect for wearing all winter! And the colors match at least two of my coats/jackets.
Also, a bar of Cadbury’s - the best dark chocolate anywhere - and a magnet from Twickster’s town! Already added to my collection on the wall (magnetic paint).
Honestly, these gifts should be from someone who knows me very well. You absolutely hit the nail on the head. Thank you, thank you!
Oh, also, my gift is wrapped and packaged and will go in the mail tomorrow.
I swore I posted the other day to confirm that I sent my package but it must not have sent. 
I hope it arrives before Christmas but if it doesn’t I apologize!
I forgot to post that I sent it out via US Mail on Wednesday. The USPS pinky-swears it will be delivered before Christmas, but in case it doesn’t, the recipient will be able to keep Christmas going for a bit longer.
