Sorry, only sent mine today, so my recipient will have to wait until after christmas since it has to go across the big pond.
Ah, good! I was a little worried about the scarf, because that was the main gift and if you didn’t want a scarf (or if it was the wrong colors) you’d really get screwed. Glad you liked it! (And the magnet, since we live in the same state, albeit at opposite ends of it, I figured you might have one already.)
I just checked the tracking numbers, and the package to my Santee has cleared customs and is on its way to its destination!
Omigod, just got the BEST package from brainstall!
She knit me a lovely warm cap, ooh, and soft.
Plus Walker’s shortbread cookies. (Omigod, how did you know how much I love shortbread?) Plus, omigod, some homemade pepper jelly.
Plus omigod omigod omigod, the most beautiful scarf, which looks hand-woven, maybe silk or rayon or something? Gorgeous!
And she filled in the tiny, tiny spaces left in the box with some minibars of dark chocolate – and a bit of purple tinsel!
Thank you so much! Merry Christmas!
Oh goody, you got it! I just checked the tracking not more than an hour ago and it was still in transit, so happy to see that it arrived safely.
Glad you like everything, I tried to fill up the box to make it worth the postage to send. No idea about the scarf, it was a real bargain (sticking to the <$10 rule), but I think it might be silk… hoping anyway, I bought a similar one for myself.
the week started out well, celebrated beethoven’s birthday, enjoyed sleeping in. then a tooth broke yesterday… off to the dentist today.
so i finally set off for home, numb, drooling, and bloody. then i see a package notification on the lobby screen. i go to the package room, and behold! it is my secret santa package. oddly the handwritten label is named correctly, the one that fed ex did has my father’s name on it. odd…
so here i am opening the box, it is from sarabellum1976! crinkly paper is claimed by lager! i lift out a big pointsetta bag, lager jumps into the box. i reach into the bag and pull out a box of christmas goodness!
rudolf’s sugar cookie mix with a fantastic oven mitt and snow man cookie cutter. it is blue and i am happy! 5 bars of creamy milk chocolate goodness! a bag of chocolate figures! and a tray of cinnabon nuts!
good stuff! thank you so much! my week has ended on a good and happy note.
Ooh, a package is waiting for me at home!
Had a day filled with ups and downs, but there was one very decided ‘up.’ My postie brought me a heavy package. Upon opening, I discovered a great pile of actual navel oranges from Florida – yum!! Tore into one of those right away.
Also a pretty jar of locally-made salsa and some Coconut Patties candies, which I’ve never had. I’ll put those away for a special occasion!
Loved the funny Florida holiday card, too.
Thank you, Reepicheep, for a thoughtful, lovely gift! You made my day!
Package I sent was supposed to arrive today. Hope it did!
Good things come in small packages I’m told,
I usually find this hype oversold.
But I looked in the mailbox and what did I see?
A little package addressed to me.
Too small for clothes, for food, I thought,
Those were the items for which I sought.
Such a small box, it holds maybe a book?
I peeked inside to take a look.
One thing, two things, three things, five!
What a great day to be alive!
Artisan oils, chocolates, and kitty Christmas socks,
So much goodness packed in such a small box.
I got clothing and food, for what else could I wish?
For warmth and happiness to all here.
What? You were expecting a rhyme?
Thank you Rhiannon 8404! I love every single bit of this gift.
Love it, carnut.
What wonderful Santas. There isn’t a package I’ve read about that I wouldn’t have been thrilled to receive, except then I wouldn’t have gotten mine, which I love.
Jeez, I feel like I’m ten again. Every day I check this thread, to see if my Santee has posted that she received my package, and every day when I get home from work I check to see if mine has arrived. So far, neither (and I forgot to get a tracking number for my package:smack: so I can check up on it!)
So C’MON, SANTA, C’MOOOOOOOON!
OMG! I love your poem. I so happy you love your gifts!
There are some serious distances in both directions.

I’m glad you enjoyed it, and it was a day brightened! I had a lot of fun putting that together.
Filbert, the mysterious pin badge is from Maine’s most famous hunting goods (and now just about anything goods) store/mail order. Google “L.L. Bean” (no spaces between the L.L.) and read all about it! I am not a native Down Easter, but now live in Ellsworth where there is an L.L. Bean Outlet (meaning lower prices than the catalog) … It’s wicked good
Got a package from freckafree yesterday!!
It contained lots of chocolate and a cat decoration.
Here are some pictures!
A beautiful card
Chocolate horse cart!
Kitty!
Chocolate kitty!
Music note!
The chocolate kitty is almost too cute to eat. But rest assured, all the chocolate will soon be eaten.
Thanks again freckafree!
EmilyG, the horse cart is an Amish buggy. I figured you couldn’t get more “local” than a local chocolate maker’s chocolate Amish buggy!
I’m sure it will be very tasty
Looks like the package I sent is being held by the Post Office until the recipient can pick it up - a delivery attempt was made on the 18th, but no one home. I hope that won’t be a problem!
