In a season with so much to be grateful for, I am grateful for all of you.

But some a little more.

Thanks to pai325 for the thoughtful and delicious gifts – the “On the Dot” game looks like tremendous fun and of course the chocolate (Man’s Perfect Food) is dark and wonderful.

I somehow found the strength not to open the box until Christmas morning, which was tantalizing and great fun. For about 15 minutes I was 10 years old again and full of wonder. I could never have guessed but it was fun trying.

I’m afraid my Secret Santa recipient is cursing me and the United States Postal Service, for which I apologize. I hope when it does arrive it is surprising and enjoyable.

Going through some changes these days, most of which are, to be honest, difficult and sad. This is a very bright spot in a very bleak time, and I thank all of you for this bit of Christmas joy. You are all the best, the very best, and today I am reminded of it all over again.

May your day be merry and bright, whatever your believe, however you spend your time.

I am happy you liked it. The game looked interesting to me, and you can never have too much chocolate!

If you use the Tapatalk app on your phone you post photos through them and they’ll host them. Otherwise photobucket seems to work for most folks.

Thank you, Helena330! I got chocolate and more choc’late! A solid bar, plus these lovely petite little salted caramels in both milk and dark, one of which was breakfast using FairyMom’s logic. Included was a very sweet card, and personal note ahead are you serious about the name thing? If so, :eek: :eek: and also :).

Best of all, though? Best of all? A PURPLE HORSESHOE. Did you read that, people? A friggin purple horseshoe. I’m so touched. Also, the previous tenant left a random nail in the wall in my bedroom so I promptly hung it up.

Talk amongst yourselves. I’m verklempt.

That thought occurred to me as well - we have two feline overlords in the house. They don’t show any interest in it.

I started an imgur account, to post the photos of Septima’s awesome prezzies. Let’s see if I can share 'em with y’all!

So, this is the Danish chocolate, the Icelandic “California Raisins”, the licorice bar - according to Septima, “Draumur” means “Dream” - and the heart ornament.

And here’s the heart ornament. It’s soft, red, and quite beautiful. The other is an ornament from my childhood that my mother found and gave to me. So our tree had a definite upgrade, this year.

Pai325 I am so glad your present arrived in time for Christmas! I hope the novel is good! I had some difficulty picking one out. And I must apologize to Silvorange as I did receive the package you sent, and all in one piece! I opened it on Christmas and what a wonderful array of homemade chocolates! Very tasty. My family enjoyed these very much. The homemade scarf is beautiful and has all my favourite colours. Also, the Louisville slugger was a great surprise! Thank you so much for all these thoughtful gifts. I just love participating in this exchange!

I got my package from Anaglyph!!!

First out of the box was a pretty candle, centered in a birds’ nest.

Then two nummy chocolate bars. One is dark, the other it milk, with bits of crunchy toffee in it. I know it’s good, because about a third of that bar is gone already.

Then there’s a plate of homemade cookies, along with a cookie cutter(six pointed star) and recipes for the cookies. The recipes make it extra special.

And get this,** Anaglyph** included a note apologizing that there’s only eight varieties of cookies, says she usually does a dozen. Apologize? Sheesh, most people think one or two is good.

There’s also a tiny ornament of a mousie bedded down in a gilded walnut shell.
