Gift procured today at great peril to my mortal being. I rounded the curve in the road before my destination and saw 100 cars and 2 tour buses. Egad, I thought! What in the hell are all these people doing here on a Tuesday? The joint was packed with octogenarians wanting free samples and tours. Wall to wall grannies and pops with canes and walkers. I persevered, bobbed and weaved, it felt like it took me 15 minutes to get 10 feet, but I knew what I was after and where it was located. The next hurdle to overcome was standing in the cash only line with all the exact changers in front of me. I did it though and secured the needful. My giftee’s package will leave the nest with tomorrow’s post, headed for a southerly destination. It should even make it before Christmas.
Sent mine off on a long trip westwards today, fingers crossed it makes it in time!
Nope. Makes me feel worse because my uncreative ass can’t make anything so I don’t even have that excuse!
My goal was to get a box in the mail today. I failed, but only because, well, because. It will ship on Saturday.
There is a particular book I am looking for–no success yet. . . but it’s a pretty memorable piece of history from my new home here.
Tripler
No more clues. ::shhhhhh::
Mine 's on its way!
Sent my package yesterday.
My package is merrily on its way.
Sent mine today!
Still finishing making my gifts, hoping to mail by early next week at the absolute latest. Damn I need to get my ass in gear!
Just browsing through this thread and couldn’t find my post with gift ideas for my Santa, and finally figured out that I included them in my PM to Silvorange.
Sincere apologies if I’ve caused confusion or delay, I’m sure I’ll love anything I receive, but if my Santa DOES need ideas, here they are!
Muted colors (grey, black, tan, pastels) are my thing this year. Love jewelry, earrings no longer than 1" (my hair and I are both very short); love homemade stuff; love all food except cooked/soft fruits (raisins, dates, apple crisp, etc.); love chocolate of all sorts; love cards and stationery and stickers.
I live in a cold (in winter) climate, but don’t wear hats. Scarves and mittens/gloves are fun.
I love to travel, so throw in a recommendation for a great restaurant or bar where you live - maybe I’ll go there some day!
OK, I suck. My package WILL be going out this weekend; I didn’t get the last of the prezzies until yesterday so I’ll have them lovingly boxed and shipped by Sunday! Promise!
i will be shopping this weekend and will post the package on monday.
I am way behind, myself. The pet population at my house went from 3 to 8 this past week due to a litter of foster kittens and a lost cat who showed up at my door. I think I’m just going to send my person a kitten.

Me! Me! Me! I’ll take a kitten!
Be sure and punch lots of holes in the box and mark it fra-gilly. ![]()
I got a package today, although I don’t think the Doper name was on the outside. However, I was really excited to see where it was from, being a native West-by-God-Virginian myself. I have always wanted to visit the Marble King factory!
The package is now ensconced under the tree, where it will be opened Christmas morning!
Package is on its way Southward!! Of course, with a few exceptions that’s pretty much everyone relative to me…
I sent my package out today. Sorry for being so late this year!
I hope it still arrives in time!
My package was sent today, expertly packed by my wife (bludgeonmesoftly) because she has so much fun wrapping things and does an amazing job for someone just doing this for the second time ever. I take credit for picking the items, but I take zero credit for the beautiful wrapping.
I sent my package out today and had as much fun wrapping as I did buying. Yay for Christmas!!
