again with the in and the being.
I don’t know what I would like to get.
Suprise me.
Oh and when we send the gifts do we let the person know who sent it? Or do we just leave some clues? What?
(jeeesh I don’t even know how to do Secret Santa)
I’m in! Here’s a wish list/general guide… Maybe…
old sci-fi novels, anime & manga, action figures, comic books, thin width neckties, mittens, socks (size 9-11 works best), bright hair dyes (like purples, blues, greens- funky colors), earcuffs, used/homemade cds, dvds or videogames (there is a reasonable possibility I own the system. I still have an atari 2600…)
Absolutely any of the above used & collecting dust around your house is very welcome… I like stuff with character.
Oh, yes, side note: It’s quite important that anything sent to me not involve chocolate in any form.
Just so you know, AuRa, if you draw my name, and if such a horrific object appears in my mailbox, then this devout Christian will invoke the Wiccan Rule of Three – what you put into the world comes back to you three times over. Just picture the Disembodied Santa Head (of Death) combined with the evil of your little sister multiplied by 3! BwuhahahahahaHA!!!

OK, so much for nice!
I’m in! I’m in! I’m in!
(wheeeeeee!)
Wish List:
I would like something indigenous to where my Secret Santa lives. What’s your part of the world’s claim-to-fame?
**Ruby, ** if I drew your name I could send you Fred Phelps in a box, he’s one of my towns claims to fame. ONly problem is he isn’t worth even the nominal$10 value being mentioned. But be careful what you wish for, you might get it! (heh)

My giftee hasn’t been told to me yet, but if this person would like something from where I am from, then that is fine with me, however… I am from Rothenburg ob der Tauber which is in Germany, and I will be there for the Christmas holidays (19-26). Is it fair to ask my person to wait until I return to send the gift or should I just send something from my present location before Christmas?
Listen, Dallas, Georgia doesn’t have anything famous except that a civil war battle (Picket’s Mill) was fought near here.
Please advise. I would love to send something special from Rothenburg, but don’t wanna make my person wait till I get back if y’all think that would be bad form.
Thanks
Quasi
Is it too late for me to get in on this? I promise I will get my present to whomever on time, unlike last year when I made scout1222 wait for three extra weeks…
Quasi, isn’t that the home of the Kathe Wohlfart store?
And personally, I don’t think anyone would mind if you waited until you got back, especially if you e-mailed the recipient to let them know.
Thanks, Ruby and yes, the Käthe Wohlfahrt Christmas stores are headquartered in Rothenburg.
I used the plural up there, because they own 3 large stores in the town, and the running joke is, if you think you’re in a Christmas store that doesn’t belong to KW, you’re still in a KW store! (The company owns several stores in the city under different names, and they also go “on the road” to the various Christkindl Markts).

Are we getting the same santa that gets us?
vanilla, I believe the assignment of santas is random - small likelihood of getting each other, I would think…
Of course, since I’m not running this, who am I to say?
Out of curiosity, has anyone gotten the name of their giftee yet?
(not that I’m trying to rush you or anything, Green Bean…I was just wondering.)
I haven’t gotten my giftee yet. I am just assuming that it hasn’t been done yet.
I too am patiently waiting. I assume that Green Been was gracious enough to extend the deadline a few days, for late comers.
I see people are posting wish lists. I just got a DVD player; anything you’re willing to let go, I’ve probably not got.
White chocolate is also nice.
Eva Cassidy is my current favorite singer, after buying her Time after Time cd (that’s the only one I’ve got).
After last year’s SS success with the Kung Fu Hamster, dumb little robotic singing things are cool, too.
I’m still working on it. As I said in the OP the giftees should be sent out tonight (or maybe early tomorrow morning )
Well, the emails have been sent. Everybody should have their giftee.
(ShirleyUjest: Your email didn’t go through. Could you email me again? Thanks.)
If there is any problem, please email me at sdmbsecretsanta@hotmail.com I may not be able to get back to you until saturday.
Happy Thanksgiving!
