To answer vanilla’s question: Yes the assignments are totally random. With 2 exception: 1) I had to pair a couple of people because of geographic constraints. 2) I had a special request from someone (which is technically against the rules, but hey, rules were made to be broken!)
As far as whether to reveal yourself, whether it’s okay to contact your giftee, etc., it’s up to you.
OOH OOH!! I just found out who my giftee is. This is gonna be fun! 
As for me… I’m easy to please. Well, just ask Kal about that, but…
I like candles, swords and nifty weaponry, wolves (most animals really - just no bugs please :eek: ), incense… Surprise me

According to the OP, the gifts will be opened Christmas morning. I am mailing mine out this next week.
I chose to expose myself (I have the executive version trench coat;)) to my giftee, so I hope he’ll let me know what he would like to have.
I really don’t see anything wrong with letting your giftee know who you are since the gift itself will be a surprise. Agree/Disagree?
