Update:
Last night after opening present 1, I put presents #2-13 under the tree and go to post about my delight. A short time later we hear a strange sound coming from the other room. “Do you hear that?” hubby asks.

I can’t see anything from where I’m sitting and I’m checking my yahoomail so I ask him to check. He pulls himself out of the comfy chair and goes to look.

“Uh Gwyn, I think I know what one of your Secret Santa presents is.”
“Really?” I’m typing email and not really paying attention.
“Come here, it’s really cute.”
So I come to look. There’s Achilles, our 7 yr old kitty hunched down with his face buried in one of my presents, his paws wrapped tightly around it.
:eek: CATNIP!
I take it from him ignoring his glare and see under the chewed up wrapping paper, a whole baggie full of real, dried, home grown catnip. With slobber all over it. Luckily the catnip itself was still mostly dry, so I saved some into a new baggie, and put a small handful into an old sock and gave it back to Achilles. Which he happily went back to slobbering all over.
So I guess that durn cat opened present #2 for me. I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to open #3. I’ll post short updates since anyrose asked.
Achilles thanks you twickster!! Helen and Hector will thank you when they get some tonight.
Ok, I’m very sorry, but mine went out today. For obvious reasons, I had to wait until after payday to send it! Anyway…it should be there sometime next week. Oh, and if you sent mine, I haven’t checked mail - will do so tonight!

I was a lazy bum, and didn’t get to sending my present out until today. But it IS on the way! Though, I feel a need to post a message to my recepient:
YOU NEVER POSTED A WISH LIST.
I mean, you were taking a real chance there! I was this close to sending you a used sock! Or a banana peel! But the holiday spirit won me over and I got a nice, neutral, gift that I don’t think anyone could not like. It’s very practical (erad: boring.)
I received my Secret Santa package today! I got a nice bath set that I will enjoy very much (I realize that I forgot to post what scents I like, but you managed to pick my absolute favorite [green tea]). There was also an Intel doll and keychain. Neat! Thanks so much, Aragowyn!

Seriously, thanks muchly for the gift. I just put in a 12-hour shift, came home to the gift, and had a stifled guffaw. Now I just have to wait for my fing.er to heal (accidentaly chopped the e.nd off on Tuesday) before I can play a chord again.
Of course, working such long hours means I’ve been able to purchase my gift, but I haven’t sent it out yet. Someone may get a Boxing Day present…
My package arrived late last night due to crappy roads and a substitute mail carrier. (The poor guy!)

WOOOO HOOOO I got mine yesterday. How totally cool- A shower curtain covered with rock fans holding up signs that say " I heart You !". Cracked me up, it’s already in the shower. A hilarious book on Japanese inventions that are…uh…unusual. A DVD of the Flecktones performing live. A book of golf course postcards ( grin. golf. Is that the game where they toss the orange ball through the hoop? No wait… ).
What a total blast, thank you Santa !
And now for the humiliating portion- I deleted the email telling me MY Secret Santa’s address. AARRGH. Oh Lord of This Thread, please email me again- I’ve a tasty box of goodies packed here and ready to go out.
Mine is going to be winging it’s way the other way across the pond today. I hoped to get it mailed last week, but due to (now rectified) financial difficulties I could not.
