Whew! That was a looooooooong line at the Post Office. I’ve got my gift heading North of the Border - finally! It’s supposed to arrive within 4-7 business days, so I’m wishin’ and hopin’ and prayin’ that it arrives on-time. If not, someone might get a Boxing Day or New Year’s present instead.
I’m glad you liked the yarn. I had decided to get yarn for your gift, but I know less that nothing about yarn. (yes, I mean less than nothing - my knowledge of yarn is a black hole.) But it was soft and fuzzy and the colors were beautiful, so I figured if you didn’t like it you could make cat toys from it. I hope there was enough to something with.

I followed Kemi’s link here, so I hope I’m doing this message thing right. She got her present yesterday and I took it to the hospital this morning. She said her and the puppy will love it especially the treats. She also said that she hopes her person likes what she got. I understand there might be answers to whatever gets written here so I think I’ll print them out for her if they apply and take them when I visit next. Thank you everyone and she also wishes everyone a merry christmas.

Good news, DeVena – I’m not diabetic. In fact, I have a horrendous sweet tooth, so I will be enjoying every single tidbit in your package (she threw in a couple of handfuls of misc. candy).
The main gifts were:
Pasta salad mix celebrating what is apparently some sort of sports team associated with someplace beginning with an A … hmm… ( 
) – I’ll make it for the next Dopefest I go to, it actually looks good, A-shaped pasta thingies and a seasoning mix for the dressing.
Plus a really cool reindeer-shaped cookie cutter.
Plus an excellent mix CD of non-horrrible Christmas music (Dr. John, the Pretenders, Diana Krall, Benny Goodman) – I’m listening to it now and really digging it.

Santa giftees have been purchased and will be winging their way to their destination by Monday AM. I’m sorry to be so dreadfully late - budgetary issues! - but am hopeful that they will arrive before Christmas Eve!! I’m also hopeful that my secret santa will like what I got them! 
I got hazelnut scented candles, chocolate candy, a large candy cane, a handmade ornament and a ‘floating candle’.

Yippee!! I’m so glad you like it! That mix makes a mountain of pasta salad so be warned. Also, the hard candy Zotz? If you haven’t had any of these before, they’re filled with baking soda. So they fizz in your mouth. Cool when you’re eight but might frighten the unwary adult.

To think I have cow-orkers from Russia, China, India, Egypt, UAE, and other places. I thought it’d be cool for a French-Canadian song - one I’m familiar with. I’m not a guitar player, but my brother coached me on the TAB and the chords. I hope your finger recovers (did you really cut off the end???) - let me know how goes.
I wasn’t going to post anything beforehand, but now I think I will, just to relieve any stress.

Right, sent my santee’s present on the 15th, but I’ve been away on exercises (TA) for a long weekend, and didn’t get a chance to report it here!
So it’s in the post. Pretend my girlfriend is witty sent it, she said she got confused with the customs form but I’m pretty confident that it’ll reach it’s destination in time.

My package has been sent, despite many trials and tribulations at the post office. Apparently I used an inappropriate label the first time, then they didn’t like how I wrote directly on the box…
Now I’m worried. I sent mine to Texas last Monday, and so sign of my santee. I hope it got there. My santee hasn’t posted in this thread since the very beginning.
No santa has visited me either, but that doesn’t really worry me.

Me, too. Only to Florida last Tuesday. They promised me three day delivery which would have made it Friday… I may have to figure out how that package tracking thing goes, assuming I can dig out the receipt. 
Actually, it seems that there should be many more ‘recipient reports’ trickling in by now.
Or am I misunderstanding? I thought people were to open and report on what they got as the packages arrived, but maybe everyone is saving them up for Christmas?
The idea was that people would report back when they got a package, even if they didn’t plan to open it yet. If you think your package should have arrived by now, I’ll send out an email to your santee asking them to check back in here. If you haven’t received a gift by Jan 1st (and your santa hasn’t checked in saying that it will be late) then check in here or send an email, so the backup Santas can send out a replacement gift if need be.
I sent mine priority a week ago today, from Florida to Texas. I thought for sure it would be there by now, but I know how the mail goes this time of year. I just hope it gets there before Christmas, and all in one piece!
