[QUOTE=Omega Glory]
The idea was that people would report back when they got a package, even if they didn’t plan to open it yet.

Okay, that’s clear.
??? I think this might be backwards. As in, I know who I sent a gift too, so I could nag them directly. But how would I know if one of the various “Sorry I mailed late” messages related to me?
On Jan 5th, I’ll send out emails to people who haven’t sent their gifts out yet, and I’ll start sending out reminder emails to the Santees of the worried people today. Good point StarvingbutStrong. Some people’s Santa’s have addressed them by name, (ex: JPNdude to Misstake) letting them know that the present is going to be late. If you weren’t directly addressed then go ahead and check in.
Right. I’ve got a package enroute to somewhere in the Midwest. Sorry it’s late – Phase II took a little longer than planned!
I’ve also thanked her privately, but I’ll do so publicly as well. I couldn’t hold out until Christmas. Faithfool, the gifts you sent were terrific and I had a lot of fun opening them.
Omega Glory, thanks again for pairing me up with two people I’m particularly fond of.

Pretend My Name is Witty

Let me know if you belong on the list. I would have thought that more people would be checking in too, but I’d imagine a lot of people are involved with family things and travel etc.
Siege, it’s good to hear that you were happy with your Santa and Santee! It’s nice when random pairings work out really well.
Omega Glory – thanks again for organizing this, it’s a heck of a lot of work. I note you haven’t gotten yours yet – let us know who it is and we’ll go after him or her brandishing flaming torches.
::sigh:: Well the moral of this story is that I should have listened to anyrose. I didn’t bother putting my name on the list being posted to the SDMB, because that one was for you all, and *I * knew I was part of the list. Then I copied down the list posted here, used that to give everyone a partner, and sent off all the emails without putting myself on it. Later on, I realized that I hadn’t made a wish list, or even signed up to send and receive. Since I didn’t want to take without giving, it was too late to add myself in. Oh, well.
My car is in the shop right now, so I won’t be able to do anything (shop, go to the PO) for a couple of days – but I’m on the job. Do you want to give me some hints or shall I just surprise you?
Hi- checking in officially. I sent mine off today. Hee…can’t wait .
And yes, send me your info as well- you’ve done a real yeoman’s job of this, the least we can do is thank you. With chocolates.
Or home made baked goods. Whichever.
**faithfool ** received my gifts a few days ago. Sorry; I figured it would be enough that **Omega ** knew that I was **faithfool’s ** Secret Santa. So yeah, she got her gifts. Hope she feels better soon!
I’m an idiot, I lost the e-mail address. Could you sent it to me again, or just put it in here in case I’m not the only OCD about e-mail (I throw everything away)
Thanks
I’m so glad to hear you like it! I had fun shopping for it - I’d decided to go for something local but not cheesy or tacky, which can be interesting in a tourist town.
Thank you Susie Derkins! I got your package today, and am steadily going through the wonderful candy! The incense smells great too, now I have a reason to use my incense burner ! Also, the stocking came at a great time; my old one has a hole in it.
Woo hoo! My gifts arrived yesterday!
A Benjamin Franklin action figure (the patron of gadgets - good call!)
A Richard Lederer “Anguished English” calendar (how did you know I was a fan?)
and…
get this…
a 1920 Style Death Ray! I’m secure enough in my manhood to admit I giggled like a little girl when I opened this one!
Thank you thank you thank you.
One problem though: No name! The packing slip has your RL name. The card and your note has a cool but cryptic glyph for a signature. But what’s your screen name?
Thanks again, and thanks to Omega Glory for your labours!
