Secret Santa 2006

I didn’t even participate and I still have enjoying all the Christmas morning energy oozing out of the thread. Bestest thread evah!

Homemade Cookie Flavored Ice Cream Mix-ins?! That’s genius! Pure genius. I gotta run out and buy ice cream tomorrow to use them with!!!

Haha! All I have to add to that is that you should make sure your spades (or wide spoons) are covered in cold water, and that if you want your ice cream to stay together an icey cold granite slab is a must! (or a frozen glass bowl, if your local coldstone isn’t as cool as we were)

Buy a very creamy ice cream and let it defrost for a minute or two, then fold the toppings in. Three folds is the magic number, or was when I worked at coldstone. Enjoy!

runs out to get ice cream for herself… pure genius idea WhyNot!

I received my gift earlier this week. Thank you! And my deepest apologies for not responding sooner.

From Antist, who did a great job:

[ul]A box of snowflake-shaped bath confetti;[/ul]
[ul]A set of picture clippy things shaped like hearts stuck in ice cubes that blend nicely with the ones I got from the last white-elephant exchange;[/ul]
[ul]A paper Chinese yo-yo that quickly became a light saber;[/ul]
I’m forgetting something. I always forget something… let me go look!
[ul]And a colorful, pretty set of three scented candles.[/ul]

You did good. Thank you.

Your gift was sent Priority early this week and should arrive today or tomorrow. Me? A procrastinator, you say? No way, not I, couldn’t possibly be.

takes a bow

Thank you, thank you.

It’s all in the spin. If I could use my powers for evil, I’d work for the government.

Before work even STARTED yesterday, I already made both the cars, drove them around my cubicle, and had fun with em.

Then I put all the parts together to make some sort of abomination (not the abomination they TELL you to make, mind you).

I’m thinking I may have to invest in more Legos.

My gift package was sent out on Monday … and it’s still simply listed as enroute! Damn you, USPS! sniffs It wasn’t going far even. That’s all I’ll say. I’m just hoping that it will get there today. Or tomorrow, at least before Christmas Eve. I’m sorry it didn’t go priority–you’d have it by now, I suspect. Bah, dang post office!

I got mine yesterday from Quasimodem. I came home and saw a package that looked wrapped and I thought one of the neighbors had given us something. I wouldn’t have opened it had I known it wasn’t wrapped, but I got some clothes for the little one. We got a nice jacket that will work out really well in a couple of months when it’s not cold, but not warm either, and just the perfect size since we didn’t have one for then. There was also a shirt and pants for older kids. There was also a gift card, don’t know for how much, but I think I’ll get a copy of The Office 2nd season since I haven’t watched them all.

OK, my package should be winging its way eastward across the Gulf of Mexico as I type this. Hopefully it will make it in time for the Big Day.

In related news, I have not received anything yet.

Your welcome  Maybe with a nice piece of cheese (brie, perhaps) & some fresh bread?

You’re welcome.

Sent you an e-mail with the value of the card.

Sqeeee! It came, it came! And of course, I ripped into it immediately.

From Siege, I received not one, not two, but THREE itty-bitty kitties! Two very cute carved wooden guys sitting together on their own little settee, and a blue-with-yellow-flowers dude with a teeny-weeny gold collar and jingle bell. I don’t have anything in my collection like them!

Also, a very cool necklace of silver beads and hematite chips and feather-shaped charms. And COOKIES!

The card’s great, too! “A Literary Christmas”: a blind bard in an olive tree, two diverging roads, three Frenchmen, four calling birds (calling “Nevermore,” of course), etc.

Thanks so much, Siege! You done good.

I did good! I’m so glad.

And I got my box today! It contained (in individually wrapped packages):
A sparkly snowman filled with…
Two scented candles, with pretty glass candleholders
Cinnamon tea sachets
Dark chocolate dipped Altoids
York Peppermint Patty lip balm
Silver jingle bells shaped like ducks
A moose Idaho keychain (Bullwinkle?)
A Christmas springy mouse, wearing a hat and sweater, who appears to be… maybe… fishing?
Collection of Idaho postcards, including several 3D potato heads, and beautiful Idaho scenery

I love all of it! I laugh every time I look at the little mouse guy, and I’ve already eaten several chocolate-dipped Altoids (I didn’t even know they made those), and I am finding spots for the snowman and the candles. I put the postcards up on display with the Christmas cards I’ve received, and they add quite a festive touch.

Best Secret Santa gift EVER! Thank you, BrattiAtti.

Now that’s a snap! Ruby, your package was sitting on my doorstep when I came home from work. Thank you for swallowing your pride and getting me a Steeler’s banner. I’ll fly it from my balcony with pride. Thank you, too, for the chocolate. I’m looking forward to trying it.

freckafree, I’m glad you liked the kitties. I wanted to get you something different, and they seemed kind of cool to me. As for the cookies, all I can say is the package looked kind of empty with everthing wrapped up.

Merry Christmas, everyone! May your holidays be filled with wonder, joy, and good surprises!

That is really cool.
Next time I want Jodi!

Nothing here yet. However, if it arrives after the big day, I can say, “Hey! Christmas has been extended!”

Nothing here, but I’ve been so busy that I am more worried about whether or not MY ss santa giftee has received theirs.

Avarie537 is a most excellent Santa! She got me Farmer’s Almanac gardening calendar that will look terrific on my bulletin board at work.

Thanks a million!

Happy holidays, all!

Dang, my package should be to my recipient very soon. I mailed the thing on Monday. It’s probably too late to get there by Christmas, but hopefully soon after.

No! Back off, leeches! She’s MINE!
I made sweet love to her and now I get to keep her!

(my computer at work went bad, so I got paid for surfing the Dope and playing with lego. I’m loving my job)
