Secret Santa 2006

are we the same person?

Eek! I’m so bad at commitment, but…

OK! Email sent! I put in a bid for “international or US, whichever” if there’s an odd number in one pile, put me in it to even it out.

As for me, you may have heard me mention that I lost all my jewelry in a move recently. (You may have heard because I’ve lamented it loudly and with vigor to anyone who pretends to listen.) I adore filigree and intricate metalwork, like Indian work. Wrapped stones are also great. Gold or silver, doesn’t matter. Amber and amethyst are my favorite stones (and they’re cheap!), but I love pretty much anything shiny - even polished river rocks!

Food is always good, especially if there’s a regional treat from your hometown.

I have very long hair, so barrettes, clips (the big kind), hairsticks, etc. would all be appropriate. I can’t wear stiff headbands though, they make my head ache. Soft stretchy headbands are fine.

I’m in! Sending my information in right now. I love Secret Santa…

Psst – purple haze – the upcoming holiday is Christmas, not Groundhog Day …

I’m in! I like herbal teas, anything edible and/or purple, and frou-frou girly crap.

Ya know, I think I look forward to this more than “actual” Christmas. No drama, no worries, no intense scheduling. Just prezzies! Yay!

Now that I’ve done the irritating double post, I forgot to add what I like. Please don’t send me coal and a switch.

On second thought…

Anyhow, these are a few of my favorite things;

Pretty bracelets. I love beaded bracelets.

My favorite colors are purple (duh) blue and deep green.

I love nice felt-tip or roller ball pens. Is that odd? I have a pen fetish.

Lotion. Pretty smelling, plain, doesn’t matter. I guess that’s pretty boring, but there you are.

Key chains. I like key chains.

We have two dachshunds and they are the coolest dogs ever. Well, except for when they pee on the rug.

Picture frames. I can never have enough. Used is good also - grab one off of your mantel you’re tired of!

Well, I have cookies in the oven and I’d better pull them out.

Chocolate chip. {{wanders off happily}}

I am in! I enjoyed this so much last year, I can’t wait!

Let’s see…I like cats (duh), hockey, and handmade stuff. I read a lot, mostly sci-fi/fantasy and love to give used books a new home. My favorite color is purple and my favorite scents are sandalwood and rosemary.

Email is sent.

I like crystals, candles, cats, books and music, particularly local bands. Jewelry is good as is scented anything.

Cookies? ears perk up

We just both have good taste.

I’m in.

Please, no CDs or DVDs, as our tastes may differ.

And no calendar, as I already have one.

No smellies, either.

45 yo male, geeky nerdy tastes. I loves me hobbies, including trains, rockets, art, music, and cooking. Puzzle books rock. Science books rock. Interesting or rare foods (including ingredients) are lovely. I have no allergies. And as Christmas is for toys, I loves me some toys. Need not be age-appropriate.

But really, anything is just fine.

I would like to re-iterate the point that when posting here, post your gender. If you like jewelry, include any allergies, color preferences, what sorts of earrings you like, etc.

'Cause hey, you might just get me.

For gender, you’ll possibly get a clue when you receive your giftee’s real name.

Good point.

Maybe I’ll get Pat!

or Lee, or Chris, or Leslie

E-mail sent. 32 yea old male going on 15

I’ve had the worst luck with anything that involves mailing shit. My monkey is still lost in Australia somewhere and god knows where my Secret Santa present is from 2003…

E-mail is sent…

Anything pretty much that’s something to read, eat or listen to is nice. I’m pretty open minded and widely varied tastes where those things are concerned.

Except for carrots - nothing with carrots.

Unless it’s the kind like in a Pratchett book.

So my World-Famous Carrot Cake, which makes grown men weep with joy – not interested? :stuck_out_tongue:
