Secret Santa bragging thread.

“You got a barbie? Cool. Funny thing … I also have you down as my secret santa giftee, that is if you have the nicest location in the whole eastern seaboard.”

That should be me! EHEHEHE!! As for the Barbie, I guess I can assume that two people had my name or something. It’s possible as it seemed to have happened here. But, I should ask the Ebay Seller about this anyway, just in case.

I got an adorable clay dragon breathing glass flame. Thanks to my secret Santa!whose name I didn’t recognize so I don’t remember who she is. :o

I got my gifts…twice!

Poor tarragon918…She sent me an Enterprise 2004 calendar and a novel, then we thought the post office lost it, so she re-ordered it and got it here by the 23rd…but in the meantime, the original Priority package showed up on the 22nd!

Anyway, it’s all cool…and it’s double-cool.

**Tamex, ** thanks for the Micro RC Racer Pen. A new toy to drive the cats crazy.

"

HEEE!! That’s me! Glad you liked it!

As for the Barbie, I contacted the seller about it, but got to reply yet. Ah well.

I’m not from St. Petersburg.

I made out great for a first-time Secret Santa. ** hopefool** sent me some apricot logs, chili seasoning mix, Holiday Spiced Cocoa Mix (I love cocoa!) and two neat oraments: One proclaiming “Christmas comes and goes, but pine needles are forever” and a nice little ceramic tree made of red chilis. The latter will find a permanent home on my TV, where I can hold it during cold New Jersey winters!

Thanks very, very much!

My Secret Santa gift finally arrived, on Christmas Eve no less. Excellent timing DeVena. I received a nice big bag of dried mangoes and a nice rum cake for dessert. Your husband was right, these mangoes are deliciously addictive. Now I am going to have to find a Phillipines connection to keep me in mangoes.

Thank You for the delectable gift DeVena!

My gift arrived a few days before Christmas. It was put lovingly under the tree where it waited until Christmas day.

I got a calendar for the wall of my office. A garden calendar no less it is perrffeect. And aI got a book about 5 minute massages. As year end and countless stressful hours approach, I know these massage tips are going to be very useful !!!

Thanks so much Avarie537

I opened my gift yesterday! I got “Who has seen the wind” by WO Mitchel - a fine piece of Canadiana, as well as a celtic music CD (which I’m giving to my dad, 'cus it’s his favorite).

Horray - Secret Santa gifts for me and my family!

Thanks Secret Santa! (rjk? right?)

WHEEEEE!!! Got yum! Yum! Chocolate! AYAY!

That’s what I’m figuring. sigh
But I’m still glad that my giftee liked hers.

Still waiting…but not worried…just advising my Secret Santa that if its been mailed, then it hasn’t been received.

I’m glad you liked it, Aries28.
Annie X-Mas- Thank you so much for my presents! Annie’ got me an awesome stocking, with a “I <3 NY” ornament inside. Very cool!

=)

Check your local Sam’s Club or Wal-mart. That’s where we find them; if they aren’t on the shelf, ask the manager to order some. They can ship some from one of the other stores. Merry Christmas!!

Still awaiting my gift. It’s all a plot by the Postal Service, I tell you! Or maybe Al Quada? I’m leaning towards USPS, since it took them -one week- to get the package I sent via “Priority” mail to Vivalostwages. :stuck_out_tongue: Ah well, I’m still waiting patiently…

::tapping feet though::

I’m glad it got there, alice! I was starting to wonder about the PO.

I still haven’t received mine. Maybe next week …

On Christmas Day, of course, when I opened my present from mlerose (it arrived Monday) this thread was nowhere to be seen, but the Secret Santa thread was, so I posted my response there.

Here it is again. The hat is perfect – my favorite shade of hunter green and the color which I look best in. As for the book, I started it this morning, and it looks like a fascinating concept! I’m looking forward to it.

Thank you!
CJ

I have received a lovely and well thought out gift package.

I got home from work some days ago and found a box waiting for me on the kitchen counter. I decided to wait a few days to open it, and when I did I found

A gift card for Barnes and Noble (oh thank you for feeding my addiction )

Packets of mulled wine spices (0oh, yummy  )

Chocolate (Yesss, again with the addiction thing)

What I think is a chocolate egg with a toy or something in, but I cant read the language on the package. See, it is in German. Neato

What i think is packets of flavored fizzy drink, but again, I need a translator.

A tube of hand creme, also with German writing and very yummy smelling.

A beautiful post card featuring the Starsingers of Rothenburg, and the story of the card’s origin written on the back by my secret Santa.

A card with greetings written in depicting the town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Lovely.

And lastly, a beautiful handcarved Birch wood box, with a note as to the origins of the box and the traditions surrounding it.

I am so happy.
Quasimodem, thank you thank you. I hope you had a wonderful Holiday, and that you are met with many blessings in the new year.
ems, I’m sorry your gift is late, I wasn’t able to ship it until the 22nd. It is on it’s way, though. Let please me know when it comes.

You are most welcome, dear! I must confess that it was as much fun to prepare your package as it was for you to receive it.

I know you wanted a book I had read recently, but as you are within the vicinity of a B&N, I wanted you to read something you enjoy. The fizzy drink gets mixed into a regular glass of water or you can just shake it onto your tongue. I have enjoyed Brause Pulver ever since I was a Young’Un!

And the chocolate surprise egg does contain a little toy that you can put together. Kids in Germany have whole villages made up of those little toys!

Thanks for the good wishes, and ho-ho-ho dear Papaveraceae!
